CHALLENGE
Abercairny Estate required external support to ascertain the size of opportunity to maximise weddings and events at their existing venue as well as across the wider Estate.
The Estate required a clear proposition to take to market, as well as a business plan, financial targets and KPIs in order to track progress.
SOLUTION
A Business review was undertaken which incorporated:
- Size and demographics of target market
- Competitors anaylsis to determine benchmarking
- Review of existing offer with key recommendations for required enhancements
- Product offer and pricing defined
- Sales and marketing requirements
- Management and staffing requirements, looking at in-hand and third-party operaing models
- Headline 5-year income and profitability projections
The business review identified that there was a viable opportunity to maximise weddings/events at the Estate. A key recommendation was to recruit an experienced events manager to lead on developing this diversified enterrpsie for the Estate.
RESULTS
Savills Tourism Consultancy successfully supported with the recruitment of a senior event manager and have since been retained to provide on-going strategic guidance and support for the Estate.
