Here's a look at just some of the fall events happening around Salina this month
The first full month of fall is here, and with it comes a slew of events in and around Salina celebrating the new season.
Whether it be a fall festival, a roaming performance of a spooky American classic, a twilight tour of the zoo or a chance to visit a local shop, there will be plenty of things to do to enjoy this time of year.
Here's a look at a few festive things coming in and around Salina this month.
St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Fall Festival
From 4 to 6 p.m. Oct. 6, the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1000 Burr Oak Lane, will host its 2024 Fall Festival.

Included in this festival will be a free parish picnic, silent auction, raffle items, country store, homemade goodies and kids games.
'The Legend of Sleepy Hollow' performances in Lindsborg
Oct. 10, 11 and 12, Broadway RFD and the Lindsborg Old Mill and Swedish Heritage Museum will host performances of Washington Irving's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" in Heritage Square, 120 E. Mill St.
The performances will be each night at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. and then an 11:15 p.m. show on Oct. 12. This will be a progressive roving performance, where the audience moves along with the actors from scene to scene around the square.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children and can purchased through the Broadway RFD website, www.broadwayrfd.org.
Spooky on the Smoky in downtown Lindsborg
Throughout the day on Oct. 12 businesses will have drawings, spooky treats and eats and children's craft all along downtown Lindsborg, with costumes welcome.
Additionally, participating downtown restaurants will have food specials.

Pumpkin PaZOOla at Rolling Hills
All day long on Oct. 12, Rolling Hills Zoo, 625 N. Hedville Road, will have its Pumpkin PaZoola event, which will feature half-price admission and one free pumpkin for kids 12 and younger with a paid adult.
Rolling Hills said its pumpkin patch will be open all day and other events will be happening throughout the zoo, including treat stations for kids, keeper chats, animal meet and greets, face painting live entertainment, games and more.
Additionally that day, the zoo will be celebrating its 25th anniversary, with a 2 p.m. celebratory toast and cookies and more.
Salina Heights Christian Church Fall Festival
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Oct. 12, Salina Heights Christian Church, 801 E. Cloud St., will host its Fall Festival.
The church said the festival will feature several events including face painting, a bounce house, games, food and more.
Pumpkin Spice Twilight Safari at Rolling Hills
From 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Oct. 18 and 19, Rolling Hills Zoo will be hosting a special Twilight Safari.
This safari, which is $25 per person, will feature a guided flashlight tour through the Wildlife Museum, a spooky themed close-up animal encounters with bats and scorpion, an exclusive zoo tour as the sun sets on the animals and an interactive pumpkin carving.
Additionally, the safari will including roasting hot dogs and smores, with chips, water and a pumpkin spice hot cocoa.
