About us
Reviewer Credits is the first and only cross-publisher reward and recognition platform. This includes a unique performance and quality metrics suite that measures peer review and academic activity for peer reviewers and journals based on reviewed and published manuscripts. We offer our unique Reviewer Contribution Index (RCI), journal rankings, article citations, scientific impact, enrolled training courses, and more. We also provide the first and only peer-review certification standards to ensure the integrity and sustainability of quality publishing.
Thousands of researchers worldwide use Reviewer Credits to gain recognition for their academic profiles and to reward their peer review efforts. Thousands of editors also use Reviewer Credits to recognize and reward their peer reviewers and access and engage the global community of certified reviewers with proven expertise. Our history
Reviewer Credits was born in 2016 thanks to an idea and the friendship of two early career researchers, Giacomo Bellani and Robert Fruscio. These friends contributed to scientific research by participating in the peer review process at the time, like millions of scientists worldwide. Through their experiences as peer reviewers, they faced a lack of recognition and reward for their efforts even though peer review is a crucial part of the publication process for scientific journals and publishers.
Reviewer Credits is now a fully independent platform that does not belong to any publishing group. Reviewer Credits recognizes, rewards, and certifies the work of peer reviewers, offering them and journals several free and paid subscription services. In 2022, Dr Sven Fund took responsibility for Reviewer Credits: Sven is convinced that peer review must be part of the academic record and that there must be ways for journals to legitimately and ethically reward academics for carrying out this community service.
