5 Conjunctions with clips - compound sentences! You can use this with my game/task cards for sentences! Pictures support learning at Looks-Like-Language!
You can use this to on any sentence structure goal (combining sentences, using conjunctions, etc.). fold the paper in half, then cut the paper. use the top side as an illustration. Under the flap, they write the parts of the sentence that correlate to the illustration. I taught them that when you are adding or combining, then you use the word "and." I took pictures or short passages and had students describe them to answer questions. the students used their foldable to answer my questions

Have the students line up from shortest to tallest, shoulder to shoulder, facing the same direction. make a rectangle on the floor around them so that they have very little room around them. Then they have to reverse the line from the tallest to the shortest without stepping outside the lines.  ask them to imagine that they are surrounded by alligators and lava. If they step out, they start over. add challenges by taking away verbal communication, take away their eye sight.
Use them to mark syllables by having students turn a light on for each syllable as they hear/say it. Break words down into individual sounds like, “b-a-t,” Then, I turn off a light and say “change the ‘b’ to a ‘k’.” When they turn the light back on, they say the new sound and just tap gently on the lights/sounds that stay the same. Use a light to “turn on” the final consonant or cluster reduction.

/th + Vowels: I wrote "th" on one sideand vowels on the other side. Then, I drew a line from the th to each of the vowels. The student was then told to say /th/ while erasing the line. we targeted naming items in categories. Every time she named an item correctly from a card, we drew a tally mark. The next group I had was an articulation group & used the spinner to see how many sentences they had to make on their turn. They got a tally mark for every sentence they created.

I have all of the pictures in a baggy, so that after we read the story, students can hold it and sequence each piece, then retell!  It's perfect!  Can I also tell you that this is SO easy to do... All you need is a ruler or paint stick (I have one of each).  Since I am me, I had to cover it in paper...of course that isn't a necessary step.  Then, you cut a piece of velcro to cover one side.  I also add a magnet to the back so it will sit on the whiteboard.
