H Stern 18K with Platinum Aquamarine & Diamond Necklace

This is a glorious necklace. It is crafted from 18K yellow gold with a platinum accent. The designer, Hans Stern (H.Stern) was well known for using only the finest in precious stones. This necklace features a fabulous large faceted pear-shaped natural Aquamarine. The aquamarine is really a very fine piece with excellent color saturation. The aquamarine measures in at roughly 32 Carats. The aquamarine is prong set with a high crown. The loop at the top of the aqua is hallmarked with the h.stern hallmark. Accenting the design quality of this drop are three 2.5 mm round cut diamonds of fabulous color and quality (estimated at roughly VS1 /G). each diamond is in an articulated bezel setting. The bail is crafted in platinum with late art deco design with a larger diamond at roughly 3.5 mm. An 18K loop is soldered to the back of the platinum as a bail. The pendant is fitted with a rich solid 18K yellow gold chain. The condition of this piece is fabulous with a very very tiny knick at the tip of the aqua. It is presented in its original box.
