1800's Turkish Embroidery metallic collar textile clothing cotton gauze boho style

I was fortunate enough to have been able to purchase a collection of antique and vintage textiles from the family of a woman who was dealing in antique textiles in New York in the 1920's. In this collections were some clothing pieces, each tagged as Greek however I was told they are Turkish. As she was dealing in the 1920's in vintage clothing ( so cool! ) I put this in to the early 1900's , but that is only my speculations. This textile is part of that collection! it's a fascinating collection, I feel so lucky to have been offered it! I put this textile in the 1800's . It's just the remains of an earlier shirt! ~ It's made of cotton gauze with cotton and metallic thread used for the hand worked embroidery! This piece is ideal for inspiration, collectors . The woman that was selling these in the 1920's labeled some, there is a paper label with a running stitch inside that says " Made in Greece" ~ it's a wonderful textile~ There is also her price tag on in to , for her NY antique business!~ this piece was Measurements : There is about 36 inches long worth of embroidery CONDITION : This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. There are some darker age marks on the cotton Light signs of time and use, but generally all of the embroidery is in really good condition! ~ EFF 182
