Letter-Sounds & Phonics

Learning to decode letters into sounds that are meaningful is crucial. Practicing allows for students to use their knowledge to read, spell and understand print. Teaching phonics is best done explicitly and when it is taught in an organized way, students have a better chance of gaining a strong foundation in it! Pairing phonics instruction with print material that contains what has been learned, the students are able to consolidate and move on.
