Joanna Brown 🌸 Your new gardening friend! on Instagram: "Add vertical growing space to your garden with a trellis. Here we use cattle panels to create a simple and inexpensive arch trellis in our raised bed garden.

Materials needed: cattle panels, t-posts, zip ties
1️⃣: Pound t-posts into the ground
2️⃣: Shape the panel into an arch and set inside of t-posts. The tension from the bend will keep the panel in place.
3️⃣: Secure by using zip ties wrapped around both the t-post and cattle panel wire.
4️⃣: Plant climbing vegetables and watch them grow! Cucumbers, Beans, Indeterminate Tomatoes, Melons, and Vining Squash are all great options. 🥒🍅🫛

I started growing tomatoes like this way back in 2016 with my first clients.

Once I realized the nature of vining tomatoes, I realized how magical it is to grow them on an arch-they literally never stop growing and by mid summer you’re standing under a canopy of tomatoes 🍅🍅🍅

This week I’m excited to share the Gardenary Planting Method Guide which explains the way I plant all the things-not just tomatoes-so you can make the most of every square inch in the garden.

Erin Perez Hagström on Instagram: "i broke up with tomato cages and i’m never looking back. the tomato arch trellis is now my preferred support system, and it really is as simple as securing a cattle panel between four garden fence posts and just guiding your plant up over the arch. best for indeterminant varieties because they grow as long as you let them, easily up and over this roughly 6’ tall arch and pretty enough for my front yard urban garden. i planted mostly red cherry and yellow pear Cherry Tomato Trellis, Tomato Trellis, Cattle Panels, Arch Trellis, Tomato Cages, Fence Posts, Cherry Tomato, Never Look Back, Red Cherry

Nicole Johnsey Burke on Instagram: "The first few years I grew tomatoes, I got a ton of leaves and very little fruit 🥲

And the little fruit I did get, mostly got eaten by squirrels and raccoons 😭

Enter heavy pruning-the first year I tried to grow this way, the fruit was crazy good-like tons! Plenty for the squirrels and me!

Ever since then, this is the way I do it for myself and my clients.
