A week of finishing!!! Oh my, it feels good to finish things, doesn't it?! Last October, I started the applique process, stitching chick bodies and wings cut from felled wool onto the wool background fabric. This past summer I’ve focused on making whole cloth painted art quilts. These are not quilts for beds, but textile art to display on the wall.

It is based on a photo I took of an orange Gerbera Daisy (you can see the photo at the bottom of this post). I took the photo on one of my morning walks through my neighborhood earlier this spring.
