This mug has pink slip on it. After the slip dries on the mug, I begin laying out my pattern and then apply two layers of underglaze to each shape in the pattern. The handle and solid band on the bottom portion can sometimes require closer to 3-4 layers of underglaze since I don’t apply any slip on those area beforehand and also because I’ll sand them quite a bit after the all the firings are complete. It was so hard to squeeze all of these simple, but essential steps into a 90 second reel! Lovely green mug called "Hey June". Made in June from white speckled stoneware with green sprout patterns applied before the first firing. I made this mug entirely by hand without the pottery wheel, using only the sculpting tools. It is quite heavy due to it`s big handle and voluminous bottom. Mug has been bisque fired to 1000 degrees Celsius, then it was covered with white color glaze on the outside and soft green glaze was applied on the handle and on the inside. Fired the second time to 1220 degrees Celsius. Capacity: 360 ml. I believe my pieces can be considered as a true works of art that are pleasing to study, observe and cherish for many years to come! PACKAGING: I pack my creations carefully, using the bubble wrap and other packaging materials to prevent from being damaged during Flower Mug Pottery, Pottery Mug Designs, Hand Painted Pottery Ideas, Painting Pottery Ideas Easy, Pottery Painting Mug, Pottery Glaze Ideas, Mug Shapes, Plant Pottery, Creative Mug
