There are two components to a cake tray: the plate where cake or cookies or whatever you like to indulge in sits and the base, which holds up the plate and its drool worthy contents. This base is an open cylinder. It could’ve also been a closed bottom cylinder—this is a design choice. I’ve made two cake trays, each with a different base to see which I like better.
