I’ve been itching to use @bymegburk new typeface Guava and this seemed like such a good fit. I love pairing chunky fonts like this with a short name and oolio worked so well. Full branding for OILIO, a Mediterranean restaurant in Québec City. The identity pays homage to the utility, fun, and history of olive oil and olives in the cuisine. OILIO aims to acknowledge the shared experience of food and drink, all while recognizing the evolving nature of modern Mediterranean cuisine. The movement in the OILIO logo is a nod to oil + olives and their ever-changing, bold, liquid nature.
