Iris goddess

Iris was not only the goddess of the rainbow but was also depicted as the handmaiden of Hera. In Roman mythology she is depicted as Juno's personal messenger, while Mercury is Jupiter's personal messenger. This famous painting "Juno and Iris" by Antonio Palomino shows Iris and Juno together.
