The profoundly beautiful poem was written by Ibn Arabi (1165 - 1240 AD). In translation by Michael Sells the poem reads: Marvel a garden among the flames. My heart has become receptive of every form. It is a meadow for gazelles, a monastary for [Christian] monks, An abode of idols, the Ka'aba of the pilgrim, The tables of the Torah, the Qur'an. My religion is love--wherever its camels turn. Love is my belief, my faith. ~Ibn Arabi's Chart of Creation~ "draws on the correspondences between twenty-eight if the Divine Names and the twenty-eight stations of the moon, each of which corresponds to a letter of the Arabic alphabet. Each letter is a symbol of a particular manifestation, and the entire alphabet sets out the order in which the world was created. All this revolves within the zodiac, by which the sun's motion is measured."
