Wildlife Photo of the Day - March 25, 2015: Macro photography is one of my favourite kinds of photography. I was very pleased to get the photo of this hoverfly when it landed on a flower as they so rarely land for more than a second.

The hoverfly is an important pollinator that mimics bees and wasps. Although they look like bees, they are actually flies. Their larvae are also important aphid predators.
