I crafted these luminary trees and carved them by hand. The star pattern shows up beautifully when lit. The star on top gives these rustic trees an elegant look and will enhance just about any holiday decor. I used a high quality, very durable brown speckled stoneward clay and high fire glazes on them for lasting beauty. The glazes I used are semi-transparent to show off the speckled clay. Hand built ceramic Christmas Trees in various colors and sizes. Pottery Christmas decoration. Pine tree. Trees range in height from 7 to 12 inches, width varies from 3 to 5 inches (taller trees are wider). Trees #4, 5 and 6 may be used as luminaries, recommend using a battery-operated light rather than a candle as tree may get overheated when using a candle. All trees were hand built using stoneware clay, then I bisque fired. After being glazed, they were fired again to approx. 2200 degrees…
