Charlotte Amalie - The 99 Steps (actually 103). To think this used to be a "shortcut"! St Thomas Vacation, Charlotte Amalie St Thomas, Southern Caribbean Cruise, Barbados Beaches, St Thomas Virgin Islands, Charlotte Amalie, Carribean Cruise, Barbados Travel, St Thomas Usvi

The "99 Steps" go from up Kongens Gade in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, to a small network of streets. I believe it is called Blackbeard's Hill. There is a lookout point near the top of the steps. Actually, there are more than 99 steps. My notes from our cruise in 2004 say 125 steps. Did I count them, or take someone else's word for it?
