Patterns by PatternCos on Instagram: "Let's continue explaining some pattern problems for people with large bust cup using the Geller blouse pattern as example 🤗 A very common thing in loose-fitting or semi-fitted blouses is that the pattern has omitted the bust darts. This is very good to simplify the tailoring and actually in small bust cups it doesn't really affect the fit of the garment but in larger sizes there can be a problem and it seems that the front of the garment is too short.

📌 How do we solve this?
By adding a small bust dart on the side.

🍀 Figuring out how high to place the darts is easy because you just need to measure from shoulder to bust line.
🍀 On a loose-fitting garment, if the darts start slightly past the armhole, that's enough.

This is terrible advice, categorically, for someone with a large bust. It's only helpful if you only have the option of shopping for clothes. Edit- I should have read more carefully, but still. Cowls are not a good idea for large busts. I'm glad I can sew.
