{If you’d like a handmade pair of earrings but prefer not to make them, check out my shop} Hello everyone! Today I am going to share with you my process of making painted clay earrings! This type of craft is so fun because you can really take creative liberty in what you choose to make!

Firstly if you haven’t seen the last two parts of this tutorial series, I highly recommend you go back and watch them. ⚡️ remember from the last video that these pieces have already been baked. Sculpey Gloss Glaze is my favourite product to use to seal my clay. It’s easy to use, doesn’t require more baking and also leaves the pieces almost looking like they’re covered in resin (without the harmful fumes). Normally polymer clay doesn’t require anything to seal it if baked correctly but I use the above technique anytime if use paint, ink or gold leaf foil. What do you think? First step is to use a tiny drop of super glue to secure the post. Next you can use either resin or liquid clay to seal it!

Liquid Clay: add a small drop, place your post and spread out the clay so it covers the entire back of the earring. Bake again for 15 mins at 275 degrees Fahrenheit.

Resin: add enough resin to spread across the back of the earring and then cure under a UV light, I cure for 30 minutes. Make sure you are always wearing your protective gear!
