Esra Bahşi has been working for Peter Lang Verlag since autumn 2014. She holds a degree in German language & literature from Hacettepe/Ankara and Ege/Izmir Universities, together with a double MA in European studies and international relations from Istanbul Bilgi University and European University Viadrina. She is responsible for publications by Turkish authors.

Łukasz Gałecki’s academic background focuses on philosophy, theatre science and literature. After working for the Polish Institute in Leipzig as one of its directors, and after scholarships took him to Berlin, Leipzig and Bonn, he joined Peter Lang in 2010, where he is the senior acquisitions editor for publications by Polish authors.

Tony has been working in publishing since the early 1990s and is Senior Commissioning Editor, Ireland and the UK. He commissions books in the fields of Irish studies, education, and international relations. Tony is very interested in receiving book proposals and series ideas in these areas. He previously worked for Manchester University Press, Kogan Page and Prentice Hall among others. He has a particular interest in commissioning books on Ireland and has vast experience in that area.

Ulrike Döring studied German Language and Literature and Pedagogy at the University of Stuttgart and graduated with a master’s degree. Before joining Peter Lang, she has worked as an editor for a German specialist book publisher for many years. Since December 2018, she is responsible for the German and Linguistics program at Peter Lang’s Bern office and looks forward to discussing book and series proposals, particularly on linguistic and literary topics.

Thierry Waser holds an MA in French literature and contemporary history from the University of Fribourg (Switzerland). He started working for Peter Lang in 2008, first in the Bern office, before joining the Brussels office in 2015, where he works as the deputy managing director and senior commissioning editor. He speaks French, German and English. Subject areas: History, sociology, linguistics, philosophy, law, ecology and environmental studies.

Adrian Stähli studied Romance languages and literature (with a focus on Italian), German and English at the universities of Bonn, Bern and Florence. Following an academic activity at the University of Bern, he joined Peter Lang in 2012 as an acquisitions editor, overseeing mostly books and series in literature and linguistics at the Swiss publishing location until 2017. After working for five years in another area of the publishing industry, he re-joined Peter Lang in Berlin in 2022 as an acquisitions editor and editorial team lead. His focus is on theology & philosophy, art studies, Romance studies, linguistics and education.

With around a decade of experience in publishing, Indrani Dutta joined Peter Lang in 2022 as Acquisitions Editor (Social Sciences). She is working for Peter Lang’s Indian list and her focus areas are Political Science and International Relations, Sociology, History, Economics, Management and Media and Communication. Prior to joining Peter Lang, she was associated with McGraw Hill Education, India and SAGE Publications, India as development and commissioning editors for higher education level textbooks. Based in Kolkata, India, Indrani holds master’s degree in International Relations. Apart from commissioning academic works, she enjoys reading historical fictions, horrors and mysteries.

Based in Toronto, Alison is Acquisitions Editor for the US/Canada Education list. Alison is seeking manuscripts related to education (student experiences, the academic profession, pedagogy, and educational theory), sociology, and social justice, specifically those with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. Specific areas of interest include race, gender, and LGBTQ+ studies; sociological theory and societal issues; distance and open education; philosophy of education; international, comparative education; technology for education; and policy and governance of institutions and education systems. Alison received her doctorate in Higher Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto, where she worked as a Research Fellow before joining Peter Lang. Alison holds master’s degrees in both medical sciences and education, as well as an honours degree in archaeology from Durham University in the UK. She has a decade of experience editing academic manuscripts and non-academic texts as a freelance editor.
