It’s been a while since singles from Too Hot to Handle, The Circle, The Mole and other shows gathered in Panama to find their Perfect Match. But now that the bar has closed, the villa has been shuttered and the board room has been unplugged, we’re left wondering: Which couples are still a match made in heaven, and which were simply made in tequila shots? Check out the video above, then read on to find out where those bed-hopping stars stand now — and how, exactly, Harry Jowsey is involved in all this.
During the Perfect Match finale, these two lovebirds nab a come-from-behind win that shocks everyone — including themselves.
“We were like, ‘There's no chance,’” Dom tells Tudum of his and Georgia’s mindset before the final vote. “And then [Joey] gets down on one knee and we're like, ‘Yeah. No. This is it.’ We literally looked at each other and were like, ‘It's fine. We'll get drunk afterwards.’”
But despite their “surreal” win, Georgia says that she and Dom have taken a break from sharing a bedroom. With the couple being an ocean (or two) away from each other — Dom lives in Canada, while Georgia is from Australia — Dom explains that long distance became too difficult after they wrapped filming. They didn’t even take the trip they earned from being labeled the “perfect match.”
“We kept in communication, we tried our best, but I think it just became too much and we just decided to focus on ourselves,” he says. “We don’t know what the future holds. If in the future, we meet back up together and that connection is still strong, then it’s meant to be and it’s there.”
And while Georgia says that Dom is a “lovely guy” and she wishes him “all the best,” she revealed she’s currently in another relationship — which Dom said he found out about via a podcast — with none other than Too Hot to Handle’s Harry Jowsey. Lana would be so proud.
So what’s next for #RomComDom? The rocker is open to doing this all again — especially if a certain athlete is involved.
“I don’t know if there’s anyone from Selling Tampa that’s still single, or maybe Cheer,” he says. “Gabi, if she's single. I don’t know if you’re watching this, but hey, how are you doing? Maybe I’ll see you on Season 2.”
Unfortunately we won’t be seeing a perfect match walk down the aisle anytime soon. Joey shares that while his relationship with Kariselle was “perfect” in paradise, it couldn’t contend with the real world after they went home.
“You live in different places, you’re trying to get on the same page with each other,” Joey explains. “I think that both of us really respected each other enough to be able to walk away from the situation and really give each other time, distance, space.”
But Joey doesn’t regret the relationship, telling Tudum that he’s glad the couple didn’t hold back their true feelings. “We love very hard, so the highs are high, and the lows can be very low,” he added. “At this point, we just know that we’re probably better apart, but that we really want to try to work on our friendship.”
Though the two shared an instant connection (and a steamy shower date) on Perfect Match, Chloe and Shayne’s romance didn’t translate to the outside world, and Chloe tells Tudum they aren’t together anymore. But the breakup hasn’t dampened Chloe’s spirits, as she says she’s “thriving.”
“I’m pushing towards my presenting and my acting,” she shares. “Hopefully Netflix will give me a Netflix Original! Comedian Chloe coming at ya!”
But because of her “baby fever,” Chloe adds she’s hoping to find her real-life perfect match sooner rather than later. “I want children by the time I’m 25, 26,” she says. (She’s currently 23.) “I can’t look at a baby without wanting to just jump on a man. My ovaries scream when I look at children!”
After splitting from Damian, Dom and Abbey, bombshell Francesca left the Perfect Match villa single. But luckily, she met her perfect match after flying back from Panama — TikTok star Jesse Sullivan.
“I ended up getting home and messaging someone I had already known,” she says. “We connected right away, and we’ve been really happy together ever since. I’m in a super solid place in my relationship right now.”
Although The Circle star Mitchell tries to rekindle his relationship with ex Chloe during Perfect Match, his playboy ways prove too difficult to shake, and the two ultimately break up for good. Looking back on the series, however, he says the show taught him how to be in a healthy, functioning relationship, calling it “exposure therapy.”
“I think as soon as I started actively having those strong emotions, I struggled with, ‘Oh, shoot. Now I really gotta go there, and that is scary for me,’” he explains. “Now I’m working on processing my emotions, understanding who I am as a person and what I’m really looking for in a partner, and just working on being my best self so that I can give the best version of me to my future partner, my future kids. I think that starts with me just showing up for myself and doing my best every day.”
After trying out relationships with Chase and Zay, Anne-Sophie knew her perfect match wasn’t in Panama. But that’s for the best, she says, since she’s now dating, ahem, “well-qualified men.”
“I think the show solidified the kind of man that I was looking for — the things that I want in a man, how I want to be treated, how I want a man to put me first, always,” she says. “I’m looking for a man that sees me for who I am, cherishes it and knows he has a diamond.”
