D2 plus Q1… dispensing, shaking, cooling and heating robot For some workflows controlling the reagents temperature at all stages is crucial… Imagine if you could dispense your reagents at more than 40 drops per minute directly into a temperature controlled shaker? The combination of industry leading instruments D2 from UK Robotics, and BioShake by QINSTRUMENTS in a footprint smaller than an A4 sheet of paper! The D2 dispenser can deliver up to 2 different reagents with the pattern of your choice into any well plate held securely on the deck of the BioShake, which controls the temperature of the plate, as well as provides the ability to shake its contents. The D2 accommodates the incorporation of Q1 within its own footprint, which is small enough to be mounted within larger liquid handling platforms. The plates can easily be loaded onto the Q1 by an external robot, and the D2 takes the dispensing from there! Since liquid handling imprecision impacts experimental reproducibility, researchers consider CVs to be a vital factor when considering the automation of their research. At the core of the Mantis' microfluidic dispensing chip is a valve cluster that measures and dispenses discrete volumes of liquid.
