Engage in the Conversation: Breaking the Silence on Sexual Trauma
As I forward Tom's post, I'm struck by how my experience mirrors his. In my time with Hope for Men*, it has been the open dialogues we’ve had about the sensitive topic of sexual trauma and violence against men that continue to shape my understanding.
What stands out to me is the genuine openness and vulnerability people bring to these discussions, especially when it gets uncomfortable. The perspectives I've personally gained through these conversations are invaluable.
I want to express my deep gratitude to those who share their thoughts. These discussions aren't just appreciated; they're essential for our growth and for shaping the Hope for Men platform.
To the mental healthcare professionals in my network, I extend a personal invitation to join us in our mission to build a safe and welcoming support network that gives voice and agency to male survivors and their supporters.
We’ll be launching a beta version of our platform in a few weeks, and we’d value your feedback, constructive criticism and insights.
And to everyone else, I invite you to follow our journey. Your support means the world to us as we create a community where every conversation, no matter how uncomfortable, is a step towards a brighter future.
Let's keep these conversations going—because the dialogue is key to understanding, healing, and progress.
