Manage, share, or duplicate LinkedIn article drafts

Your article is automatically saved as a draft as soon as you start writing. You can access your saved draft at any time to edit, publish, or delete it.

You can share drafts of your articles with other members to get feedback on the content, before sharing it on LinkedIn.

You can also duplicate drafts to quickly create a copy of the existing page, if you'd like to publish an article in the same format.

Important to know

Article formatting may appear differently after publishing. This feature isn’t available on LinkedIn mobile app.

To manage saved drafts of your articles:

  1. Click the Manage dropdown near the upper right of the publishing tool and select Drafts.

  2. From the Drafts section in the Articles pop-up window, you can:

    • Click on the article to continue working on it
    • Click on the  More icon on the right to  Edit or  Delete the article.

To share or duplicate a draft of the article you’re currently writing:

Here's a tip

Members can view the draft only when they're logged into LinkedIn.

  1. Click the Manage dropdown near the upper right of the publishing tool and select Preview.

    • Click Duplicate as draft to create a draft copy of the article (opens up in a new page).
  2. Click Share draft near the upper right of the publishing tool.

  3. Click Copy from the Share draft pop-up.

  4. Share the URL with the people you want to receive feedback from.

To share or duplicate a previously saved draft:

  1. Click  Write article at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.

    • If you're a Super admin or Content admin of a LinkedIn Page, you'll see an option to Publish as, select which account you want to publish from and click Next. This takes you to the publishing tool.
  2. Click the Manage dropdown near the upper right of the publishing tool and select Drafts.

  3. From the Articles pop-up window, click on the draft article (draft tab selected by default) you’d like to share.

    • The article opens up in the publishing tool.
  4. Click the Manage dropdown near the upper right of the publishing tool and select Preview.

    • Click Duplicate as draft to create a draft copy of the article (opens up in a new page).
  5. Click Share draft near the upper right of the publishing tool.

  6. From the Share draft pop-up window, click Copy.

  7. Share the URL with the members you want to receive feedback from.
