Today, we invite you to meet Michael Glen-Kerr, our Global Camps Manager of Alpadia!   -What is your story?  I have worked in summer schools every year since becoming an Activity Leader in 2004. I joined Alpadia in 2019 after working for a couple of our competitors! I am a bit of a study fanatic and my background is in business management.    -Would you like to thank someone in the company who has been part of your journey?    The whole team at Alpadia has been fantastic during all my time here. Everything that we have achieved over the years has always been a collaborative effort. But a special shout out to the legend that is Mattias Ysebie. He has supported me every step of the way over the last five years.   -How did you hear about your first position ?   I first heard about Alpadia from the legendary Sebastien Martinez. I worked with Seb at Embassy Summer (now part of EC). I have so much time for Seb, so his recommendation of the company made the decision to apply a no brainer 😊   -What are your hobbies or interests?   When I am not organizing the Alpadia camps you can find me parenting my two kids, studying, climbing, running or snowboarding!

Today, we invite you to meet Federica Desantis , our B2B Deputy Sales Manager, based in our European Headquarters in Barcelona! -What is your story? Absolutely! I’m originally from Trani, a beautiful town in Puglia, Italy, known for its stunning coastlines. My journey began when I moved to London for what I thought would be a three-month adventure, but it turned into a three-year stay! During a trip to Barcelona with friends, I fell in love with the city and decided it would be my next destination. I quickly found a job in the same sector and have been enjoying life here since 2015. In November 2018, a friend of mine, who was also a manager and is now my colleague, Justine Goffart, introduced me to ALPADIA Language Schools, which was then a small Swiss company. I started as a B2C Sales Coordinator and gradually moved up to Sales Team Leader and then Sales and Customer Care Manager. In June 2022, I took a break to travel and recharge. I returned in April 2023 as the B2B Deputy Sales Manager, and it’s been quite a journey! -This is the time to thank someone in the company who has been part of your journey. I owe a big thank you to Justine for giving me my first opportunity, to Sebastien Martinez for keeping in touch during my job search, and for calling me at exactly the right time for a new challenge. And of course, to my current manager, Maud, who is incredibly empathetic, motivational, and inspiring. I'm also grateful to my friends, Justine, Laurie, Ksenia, Irina, Ivana, Cinthya and everyone else at the office who makes each day special here at KLG Barcelona. -How did you hear about your first position ? After my time working for my previous company, I was taking a break to focus on my personal project, Art Lover Ground. Unfortunately, I ran out of money (true story!!), and that's when Justine, who was then a Sales Coordinator, introduced me to Alpadia. I quickly secured the job and started my journey with KLG. -What are your hobbies or interests? I'm always on the move! I love music, festivals, and art. I run a project called Art Lover Ground where I organize events for underground artists in secret locations around Barcelona. I actually talked about it during our work week! The team is led by Maud Brunet and despite being located across several cities, they're a close-knit group who work hard to support each other to achieve their goals. Reflecting on the award, which is based on the votes of peers across different teams, Maud says: "I'm very proud that our team has been recognised. It's very motivating to feel the appreciation of our colleagues, especially at the busiest time of the year. The team is made up of talented people who I absoutely love working with.
