The City of Houston’s Housing and Community Development Department (HCDD) provides the leadership and financing to make affordable homes and neighborhood revitalization happen in Houston. Currently, the Department administers over $100 million annually in various federal, state and local programs. From investing in neighborhood parks, multifamily communities and economic development, to providing first-time home buyer assistance and funds to serve the homeless, elderly and disabled -- HCDD works to improve the quality of life for Houston’s neighborhoods and families.

It's here! The 7th Annual HCD Career Opportunity Fair is live until 3 p.m. at the Houston Community College West Loop campus. Job seekers will have the chance to connect with dozens of employers and on-site interviews for some. Attendees can also receive services for mental health wellness and expungement services. HCD recently joined @AvenueCDC and partners to celebrate the ribbon cutting of Fulton & James! This small, mixed-income rental development includes four new single-family homes, offering affordable options for households earning 30%-80% of AMI in Houston’s Near Northside. Located at Fulton and James Street, residents will enjoy access to the METRO Light Rail, Wesley Community Center, Carnegie Neighborhood Library, and more. With a $1.9M investment from the City of Houston Housing and Community Development, this project stands as a testament to partnership, commitment, and purposeful action.
