🍽️ #FoodInsecurity should not be a side effect of cancer — but it is. We can't live with that. If you can't either, let's change this reality together ➡️ https://lnkd.in/eAy8if_C

Financial support for families facing cancer
About us
Treatment requires more than medicine — families need a roof over their heads and food on their tables to survive. If a family can’t meet these basic needs, cancer treatment takes a back seat. Family Reach is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works with patients, providers, and community organizations to challenge the systems that force families to choose between their health and their home. Together, we’re making financial treatment a standard of cancer care.

Hope for the Holidays is happening now through December 31! ✨ We offer financial resources to help families access necessities like food, heating, and housing — the warmth and security that they will need this winter as everyday costs continue to increase. ✨ "Without this support, we would have been homeless during the holidays," shared a family we supported last year. ✨ Want to bring joy to families experiencing cancer this holiday season? 🫶🏾 When you're addressing #financialtoxicity in cancer care, it's critical to meet people where they are. That's why we partner with community-based nonprofits and local specialty organizations to reach Black and Hispanic/Latino communities through people they already know and trust. Together we're removing financial barriers to care by helping people catch up on housing and utility payments, arranging free meal deliveries, and securing safe rides to treatment. Hear more from Rachel Marquez, our Director of Cancer Equity Initiatives:

People get diagnosed with cancer. People with jobs, families, and busy lives. Yesterday at Reuters Pharma and Patient USA, we brought Raquel, Michael, Joe, and Nicole on stage to share how cancer upends peoples' lives, forcing them to miss work, skip rent payments, and question if they can afford the gas to their care centers each week. Their stories remind us that treatment requires more than medicine — families need a roof over their heads and food in their fridges to survive cancer. Thank you to this powerful team for their honesty and vulnerability. Together, we can build a world where every person facing cancer can meet their basic needs.💜💚
What a presentation! Huge thanks to Carla Tardif, Family Reach on shining the ultimate spotlight on true lived experiences of patients. And a huge thanks to Joe Chabot, Nicole Perkins, Raquel Rohlfing and Michael Longo for sharing your stories. The audience were truly moved. #REpatientUSA

Over 300,000 people are facing cancer in the states impacted by Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Like their neighbors, they are trying to rebuild, source food, and repair water-damaged vehicles. Family Reach is working directly with our network of oncology professionals in those areas to determine where our support is needed and do what we can to help patients maintain access to treatment. 🩵 If you've been looking for a way to help, this is your sign. Give today, and your donation will directly support patients impacted by the devastation: https://bit.ly/402lEcD
