Core Mobile’s Founder & CEO, Chandra Shekhar Tekwani, participated in the VA MIT Hackathon in Tampa, FL, this weekend alongside esteemed VA staff (Michael McCawley, LCSW, FACHE, LSSBB, LBB - Section Chief Mental Health; Raina Rochon, DNP, RN – Chief Nurse, Patient Care Services-Nursing Operations; Karen Skop, PT, DPT, MS Program Director, PREP; Raheem Beauvais, MBA, LSSBB, MBA, LSSBB, Health System Specialist). Our Hackathon team tackled the “Connect Veterans to Soonest and Best Care” challenge, customizing an AI-driven solution to reduce delays caused due to too much time spent on administrative tasks and lack of care coordination between patient care services team members. By leveraging our VA-approved IT platform, integrating Azure OpenAI during the hackathon, and connecting with systems like VistA and CPRS, we designed system to automate the care pathways and automate note generation and coordinating care across different care teams via push notification.
