It was great to see our Trust & Safety team get together for TrustCon last week to represent Bumble. Safety has been central to our mission from day one and we have always been proud of our work in this space. 🌟 🔒

Another incredible TrustCon in the books and Bumble Inc. showed up in a major way - we had 10 folks attend this year, 6 of whom were selected to present (!!) on topics including crisis management, investigating offline harms, transparency, authenticity, and more. I’m so grateful and proud to work at a company that has kindness, safety, and equity as its core mission and to be part of the amazing Trust & Safety community that Charlotte Willner and everyone at the Trust & Safety Professional Association have worked hard to foster. See you all at TrustCon 2025!

🌟 Time to shout out your work bestie! 🌟 At Bumble Inc., we’re all about making meaningful connections beyond just dating. Since launching one year ago as a standalone app, Bumble For Friends has been helping people from all over create lifelong friendships. And since today is International Friendship Day, we want to put the spotlight on the incredible bonds we form with our work BFFs! Did you know that having a close friend at work can significantly boost your job satisfaction, productivity, and overall well-being? A 2022 Gallup study has shown that employees with strong workplace friendships are seven times more likely to be fully engaged at work and enjoy their day-to-day tasks more. And there’s more! According to a 2024 Bumble For Friends survey*: 👯More than three-quarters (76%) of respondents shared that having a work bestie has reduced their work-related stress. 👯77% shared that their work bestie has helped them get through tough times at work. 👯Half of respondents went as far to say that they would quit their current job if it weren't for their work bestie! 👯71% currently have a work bestie from a different generation, and 68% say it’s been great for their growth. 👯55% believe that remote or in-person, work friendships are just as strong! So, tell us – who’s your work BFF? Tag your work bestie in the comments and share what makes them so special. Tell us how they brighten your day, support you, and make work more enjoyable. We want to hear all about the amazing friendships that make your work life more meaningful, so let the shout-outs begin! 💛 #InternationalFriendshipDay #WorkBestie #BumbleForFriends #FriendshipGoals *Research was commissioned by Bumble For Friends and carried out online by Censuswide from July 15th, 2024 to July 19th, 2024. Surveys were conducted within the US amongst a sample of more than 2,500 adults aged 18-35.

🌟 In an era where AI-generated images are becoming a bigger part of our online interactions, we’re dedicated to using AI responsibly and addressing any challenges that come from its misuse. This month we launched a new option under Bumble’s ‘Fake Profiles’ reporting menu, allowing our users to report profiles they suspect are using AI-generated photos and videos. We see this as a win for authenticity – something daters are telling us they want more and more of! 📊 In a recent survey* conducted by Bumble, 71% of Gen-Z and Millennial respondents said they believe there should be limits on using AI-generated profile pictures and bios on dating apps. This feedback inspired our new feature, helping everyone assess the authenticity of their connections. 🔒 This is just the latest in our efforts to harness the power of AI to foster healthy and meaningful connections online. Earlier this year, we launched Deception Detector™, an AI tool designed to identify and weed out spam, scam, and fake profiles. Within the first two months of its launch, reports of spam, scam, and fake profiles were reduced by 45%! Before that we launched our AI-powered Private Detector™ tool that automatically detects and warns users about potentially lewd images. We’re also leveraging the power of machine learning to improve user safety across our portfolio of apps – we launched AI Group Photo Blur on Badoo on Badoo earlier this year. With this feature, members can upload group photos easily without having to worry about their friends’ privacy; users can also feel safer in easily identifying who they are matching with. Bumble CEO

July marks six months since I became CEO of Bumble Inc. 🙏🏽 The most common question I get asked is "What have you learned in your first few months on the job?" So I thought I would use this time to share some insights from my first few months: 💛 Champion and rally around the business mission. For Bumble, the mission is why I came and what motivates me each day. Through deeply understanding what we stand for, I feel even more energized to help the world create healthy and equitable connections throughout people’s lives. There's a unique power in a collective goal or mission, and when we all believe in its potential we can pave the way for a successful future. ⚡ Innovation over everything. The best way we can deliver for the people who use our products is to continuously innovate and deliver what they need. Since I started, we’ve launched Opening Moves, a new way for women to easily Make the First Move on Bumble; Deception Detector which uses AI to automatically detect and remove fake, spam and scam accounts from our platform, and brought Geneva into the fold to expand our connection to communities. This is on top of many app improvements across Bumble, Badoo, Fruitz, and Official to deliver better experiences. We are only getting started and there is much more in the pipeline for our community! 🙌🏽 Kindness is often an underestimated attribute for leaders. At Bumble, kindness is a core value, and since joining, I have been overwhelmed by the kindness and resilience of our teams and truly believe that when we look after each other we can achieve our best work yet. Together we strive to foster an environment where creativity and kindness pave the way to a better future Bumble. Thank you to the Bumble team, Whitney, our board, our investors, and our community for your trust. We are only just getting started!

On June 27th, the U.S. Supreme Court dismissed a case which threatened to undermine the protections provided by the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA), including for pregnant people who may need emergency abortion care. While the decision is not a clear victory, it does offer a temporary sigh of relief for people in Idaho. Still, in states with abortion bans or restrictions in place, as Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson wrote, “pregnant people experiencing emergency medical conditions remain in a precarious position.” We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again - abortion is healthcare, and healthcare is a human right. Bumble was proud to stand alongside Levi’s, Match Group, Lyft, Yelp, the Women’s Chamber’s Chamber of Commerce and others to submit an amicus brief in the Moyle case, arguing that reproductive healthcare restrictions are bad for the economy and bad for business. While this brief provided a perspective from businesses, the reality is an overwhelming majority (86%) of people* support protecting access to abortion related emergencies. In the midst of what feels like sustained attacks on women’s rights, we remain steadfast in our support of an individual’s right to make their own reproductive choices. When your ability to choose if, when, and how to have children is taken away, so is your bodily autonomy. This could not be more true than when pregnant people face medical emergencies. At Bumble, we believe in the right to choose, and to exercise control over our bodies. The safety, privacy, and freedom of family planning are critical to equality for all — and that includes equitable access to abortion care. We will continue to speak out—and speak loudly—against the retrogression of women’s rights. 💛 https://lnkd.in/gczizeqf *https://lnkd.in/eynwpm6s

Today, Bumble. Inc is pleased to announce that we have joined the Center for Democracy & Technology's working group to address the creation, spread and monetization of non-consensual intimate images (NCII) - including AI-generated content. As a company rooted in kindness, respect, and online accountability, we believe in working collaboratively with our industry partners to tackle issues such as NCII. We care very deeply about providing our community with the tools they  need to feel empowered online, which includes control over their private images. This move will see us come together with representatives from technology companies, trust and safety practitioners, experts in online gender based violence, organisations representing impacted communities and organisations focused on digital rights in a safe, shared setting to discuss meaningful intervention points. This is an extension of our work in this space, having previously announced our partnership with StopNCII.org, a free tool designed to support victims of Non-Consensual Intimate Image (NCII) abuse. With more of our lives spent online, non-consensual image abuse is a growing issue that like other forms of sexual harassment, disproportionately targets and impacts women. We have, and always will be, committed to joining conversations and partnerships that tackle these issues head on. https://lnkd.in/ezvfXAJa
