Meet Brandon Slaboda, a Graduate Student at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. 🔍 Here’s more from Brandon about his journey and insights: Q: What brings you to COP29? A: I’m attending with the Climate Leadership Academy through Vanderbilt University and presenting my research on carbon markets in forests in the American Southeast. Q: If you could have dinner with anyone at COP29, who would it be? A: I’d say Greta Thunberg, as I’m inspired by her drive and commitment. Q: What recent scientific discovery fascinates you? A: I’m blown away by research showing how snow blankets insulate soil, protect root systems, and sequester more carbon. Q: A message for students at COP29?
