La collana nasce come approfondimento dei temi trattati nella rivista «Agri Centuriati» e sotto la stessa direzione, accogliendo i lavori troppo ampi per essere ospitati dal limitato spazio di una rivista. Essa indaga quindi sul fenomeno della centuriazione in età antica, fenomeno che ebbe in sé molti valori (militari, politici, economici e sociali), ma che fu insieme anche un'opera d'arte del tutto particolare. I risultati di questi anni di ricerche sul campo hanno infatti finalmente portato ad un compiuto approccio scientifico ai vari temi; studi storico-territoriali, caratteri generali e specifici delle centuriazioni (senza trascurare la loro relazione con la morfologia dei terreni) e loro partizioni, ma anche problemi catastali, amministrativi e giuridici, metodologie di rilievo e di restituzione del disegno agrario antico, assetto agrario e qualità dei suoli correlati con le colture praticate o con le forme di allevamento. Le opere monografiche che, nello spirito della rivista, si occupano di questi argomenti permettono di approfondire e completare il panorama degli studi in questo campo. * The collection is created to host in-depth studies on the themes addressed in the journal «Agri Centuriati», with the same director and editorial board, publishing monographic works which, for reasons of length, could not appear within the limited space of a journal. Therefore, it is dedicated to exploring the phenomenon of centuriazione in the ancient times. Incorporating and embodying many military, political, economic and social values, at the same time the land itself became a very singular work of art. The results of the researches conducted in the last years on sites have in fact finally set the correct scientific approach to the various themes: historico-territorial studies, the general and specific characteristics of centuriations (as well as their relationship to the morphology of the land) and their divisions, land registry, administrative and juridical problems, methods for revealing and recovering ancient agrarian patterns, agrarian order and soil quality in relation to the types of cultivation practiced and livestock breeding. The monographic works which, going by the spirit of the journal, deal with these matters allow you to finish and complete the survey of studies about this field. * Elenco libri / Book List
