Family (1976)
Meredith Baxter
It's fun binge watching this show
I didn't like it when they added Meredith Baxtner and removed Elayne Heilveil as Nancy Lawrence Maitland
Meredith may have been a year older than Elayne, but she ALWAYS looks SOOOO much older than her
She just didn't fit in as well at Elayne
Meredith (1947) ALWAYS looked SOOO much other than her 'siblings' in the show, Elayne (1948), Gary (1950), Kristy (1962) and there really wasn't that much age difference
Her character, Elyse Keaton in Family Ties (Aired May 14, 1989 to September 22, 1982), is only 14 years older than Michael J Fox (played Alex Keaton)
Diagnosis Murder (1993)
Should've ended after season one
Saw that Diagnosis Murder was on PlutoTV so I thought I'd check it out
The first season was okay, but after it was over that's when it went downhill
They brought on all sorts of celebrities from old TV shows, present ones at at the time and that's when it really went downhill
It was FAR MORE INTERESTING when they just had the doctors and police solving crimes
They had the celebrities playing stupid characters, solving or committing stupid crimes
The writers decided to write stupid plots with similar present TV shows (present at the time)
I'd fast forward through those in hopes they'd take the program back to what it was on season one
They never did
Then they started bringing on the entire Van Dyke family. Nepotism at it's finest
And what was with Victoria Rowell's wearing crappy wigs? Her natural hair was BEAUTIFUL!
They should've ended the program after the first season vs the writers going in scattered directions to see what might stick.
Station 19 (2018)
Season 7 Episode 10 - the final episode
Have faithfully watched Station 19 from Season 1 to Season 7
Season 7 Episode 19 was a let down
Went from flashbacks to future events to current events and on and on
They didn't blend well
It was as if the writers knew the show was ending and they just gave up wanting to bring it to a close, let alone a good one
Sad, because it was a good program
I looked forward to it weekly
Now it's like oh well, no loss
Yes, I'm now just trying to fill in the allotted number of words (600), because I have nothing else to say about it other than
What a BAD ending to what was a good show
Poof....up in smoke.
Grey's Anatomy (2005)
Should've ended much earlier, like season 8
Now I know why quit watching Grey's Anatomy SOOOO many years ago
Just got Disney+ and saw it was on there and decided to give it another try
Got as far as Season 12, episode 12 and couldn't handle it anymore
All the whining, over the top crying, people constantly having sex all over the hospital...YUCK!
It started out okay with the storylines having a limited number of characters. I enjoyed it when there were limited number of characters. It got to the point a person needed cheat sheets to keep track of each character
All of them were taking the f-u-n out of the dysfunction
So, no more watching after Season 12.
Unsellable Houses (2019)
Great remodels with less talk
Just happened on this program after I quit watching Tarek El Moussa and Christina Hall. In the beginning of their Flip or Flop they were down-to-earth. Now with their own shows they're FULL of themselves. Heather sounds like a teenage with a crush on her husband. All she needs is a poodle to carry around and keep repeating, "Oh, honey you are SOOOO wonderful, SOOO awesome, SOOOO talented." ICK!
Now watching Unsellable Houses I watched the two seasons HOPING it would get better.
I can watch the Before and Afters, but have to turn the sound off. Lyndsay and Leslie and their high school giddiness is ANNOYING!
What they do looks fun, but I wouldn't be surprised if Jeff left in disgust of their personalities
They sound like BOTH of them could be impossible to work with AKA BOSSY, _ITCHY and ANNOYING.
The Commish (1991)
Just found The Commish on TubiTV
I just found The Commish on TubiTV. I'm SOOOO glad they didn't have Arnie Metzger(David Paymer) on the series very long.
I was about to quit watching it, because of his freeloading character (reminds me of someone I know) so I Googled to check how long he was on the series.
Found out he wasn't going to be on very long so I kept watching. Like the series.
(Was going to submit the review at this point, but appears it has to be at least 600 characters)
I'm just watching Season 2 and looking forward to the remaining seasons.
Never saw Tony Scali (Michael Chiklis) in any other programs, but will check for more after I finish The Commish.
ALWAYS liked Theresa Saldana (she played Rachel Scali) and was saddened when she passed away in real life.
The American Standards (2008)
Would've given it a zero, but coudn't
Like James Brolin and knew nothing about the other actors/actresses
Just watched this on TubiTB (3-8-23)
James Brolin's character started out disgusting and got worse. Tia Mowry, Joanna Cassidy and the other actors/actresses were AWFUL!
I watched it to the end, because (2) of my grandpa's died of Alzheimers. I was hoping it would show the DECENT side of a caring family uniting together.
FAR FROM IT!
And James Brolin's character was a malignant narcissistic abuser by the end ("me, me, me)
Don't waste your time. Glad I didn't spend $$$ on it to watch.
Someone needs to give a better perspective.
Brazen (2022)
Should've stopped watching 15 min in
I should've stopped watching 15 minutes in. Kept hoping it would be better, but it just kept getting worse. From the time Alyssa's and Sam's character went on a date it became SO predictable. Don't waste your time unless you're into really bad acting. And who the....allows a police Chief to authorize a famous book author to advance to a Detective just cuz she'd written a book? Yes, I know it's a movie, but make it somewhat believable. And then they have them sleeping together (naked) on a leather couch? Ewww. Nothing like sticking to a couch! Reminds of late night movies of the 70's. Don't bother!
Undercover Billionaire: Three Million Dollar Bet (2021)
Grant Cardone's whine-fest
REALLY enjoyed the first season of Undercover Billionaire with Glenn Stearns (Watching on Discovery+)
Was looking forward to watching the second season until I saw Grant Cardone was participating.
Nothing worse than watching someone, Grant Cardone and his arrogance and whining. He reminds me of a used car salesman and there's nothing worse than a used car salesman trying to sell someone something.
WAY TOO MUCH of Grant's woe is me! Typical malignant narcissist, it's all about him and how unfair things are for him.
After episode 2 of the second season I just fast forwarded through Grant's segments. He and Tom Cruise are both arrogant and remind me of a used car salesman. I expected Grant to jump up and down on a couch at any moment like Tom did on Oprah.
And yes, Tom Cruise and Grant have something in common. Something Leah Remini has exposed.
Don't waste your time with this season's Undercover Billionaire.
Really enjoyed Elaine Culotti and Monique Mosley in the show.
Undercover Billionaire (2019)
Grant Cardone the used car salesman
REALLY enjoyed the first season of Undercover Billionaire with Glenn Stearns (Watching on Discovery+)
Was looking forward to watching the second season until I saw Grant Cardone was participating.
Nothing worse than watching a man, Grant Cardone and his arrogance. He reminds me of a used car salesman and there's nothing worse than a used car salesman trying to sell someone something.
After episode 2 of the second season I just fast forwarded through Grant's segments. He and Tom Cruise are both arrogant and remind me of a used car salesman. I expected Grant to jump up and down on a couch at any moment like Tom while I was watching Undercover Billionaire.
Really enjoyed Elaine Culotti and Monique Mosley in the show.
Morning Glory (2010)
Predictable
VERY predictable, but I loved it!
Really like these kind of light, fun movies and DEFINITELY a GREAT choice of actors.
How Do You Know (2010)
EWWW Jack Nicholson and Owen Wilson
I like Paul Rudd and Reese Witherspoon and that's why I decided to watch it on Netflix.
Then I saw Owen Wilson. I don't like him based upon what he's done in her personal life, especially with his children.
And 13 minutes in I saw that Jack Nicholson was in it.
I shut it off from there.
Little House on the Prairie: The Reincarnation of Nellie (Part II) (1981)
Now I remember why I quit watching Little House SO many years ago
Now I remember why I quit watching Little House SO many years ago!
Been watching while we're stuck at home, because of the pandemic. I kept thinking "Why did I quit watching SO many years ago?"
Then the stories with Nancy Oleson (Allison Balson) in that started playing.
I didn't like the character Nellie Oleson (Alison Arngrim) back then. She reminded me of my narcissistic abusive brother.I quit watching when they brought Nancy Oleson (Allison Balson) on.
Well, I won't be watching the rest of Little House by the looks of it. Cannot stand the Nellie or the Nancy character.
In God's Time (2015)
Are you serious?
Are you serious?
A "Christian" movie that opens up and within the first 5:45 minutes you get to see 3 people lighting up a cigarette or hear the guys urinating!
I didn't make it beyond that point, because a movie opens up with the good parts to pull one in to watch the rest of the movie.
Bad acting from what little I saw and from Google:
When did people stop smoking in movies?
In the late 1950s and early 1960s, despite tobacco industry efforts to cover up the facts, the public learned more about the health risks of smoking - and cigarettes lost some of their on-screen glamour. After 1970. In 1971, the U.S. banned broadcast advertising of tobacco products.
Don't waste your time on this movie! I wouldn't given it a zero if I could have.
Coming Home (2017)
Good story
Really good story line, but really BAD acting.
My favorite movies are Hallmark or Christian.
And So It Goes (2014)
Enjoyable
Have ALWAYS been a fan of Michael Douglas.
Some have compared this movie to, "Something's Gotta Give" and "As Good As It Gets."
Those movies rate a ZERO in my book, because I don't like Jack Nicholson, never have.
Diane Keaton and the other actors/actresses were good too.
Ambulance Girl (2005)
Really enjoyed this movie
REALLY enjoyed this movie.
Have been a fan of Kathy Bates for some time.
Loved the story line, actors/actresses and the ending...won't tell you what it was, because it would ruin it for you.
Saw it on Tubi
The Good Guy (2009)
Watched some on Tubi (20 minutes worth)
20 minutes in I was forced to listen to, "Cash" played by Andrew McCarthy, start cussing up a storm!
Then it seemed like EVERYONE started cussing.
It looked like it was going go be a cute movie until then.
I NEVER sought out Andrew McCarthy movies after seeing him be the jerk in Pretty in Pink.
I wanted to watch it, because I'm an Alexis Bledel fan after Gilmore Girls.
Glad I didn't pay money to see the 20 minutes I did see.
If the Shoe Fits (1990)
Thank God
I really like Rob Lowe and Jennifer Grey, but NOT this movie.
Thank God they've all gotten so much better in their acting and their script selections in the last 30 years!
I Do (But I Don't) (2004)
Poor attempt
A VERY poor attempt to retell the story presented in, "The Wedding Planner (2001)" starring Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey.
"The Wedding Planner" was MUCH better, especially when it comes to the actors/actresses.
Never been a fan of Denise Richards or Dean Cain.
Death at a Funeral (2010)
Yuck!
I watched it, because I like James Marsden, but I couldn't watch it beyond 13 minutes.
Maybe it was more popular, because of Chris Rock, but I don't like him at all.
Holiday in the Wild (2019)
Loved it!
Thoroughly enjoyed this movie, plot line and all!
Looked like a FUN adventure!
Signed....a huge fan of Rob Lowe and Kristin Davis.
Island of Grace (2009)
Predictable
Predictable plot line, but I enjoyed it.
Then again, I like Hallmark/Hallmarkish movies that are faith based.
Bed & Breakfast: Love Is a Happy Accident (2010)
Ick!
Queued it up in Tubi, because it sounded like it might be like Hallmark's All of my Heart with Lacey Chabet and Brennan Elliott.
It was NOTHING like that movie, especially the acting.
Bed & Breakfast....bad acting and really bad presentation.
I go to movies to watch them, not read them.
Couldn't watch more than 5 minutes, because it was obvious it wasn't like Hallmark's All of my Heart.
Watercolor Postcards (2013)
Enjoyable
Really enjoyed this movie.
Wish it went on into a mini-series.
