Sweet Tooth (2021–2024)

A disjointed masterpiece
12 June 2024
When I finished my binge watch of season 1, I was amazed at how Netflix had done it again with a new, unique original which got me hooked and kept me entertained throughout.

Then season 2 happened. A complete and utter waste of everyone's time involved, from the characters to the story, it was atrocious.

Season 3 is a masterpiece. It picks up where season 1 left off. Everything that was good about season 1 returns.

For anyone wanting to watch this show, I'd advise you have season 2 on in the background whilst you're doing some house chores, and save your attention to be blown away by an amazing first and final season.

Ted Lasso: The Strings That Bind Us (2023)
Season 3, Episode 7
10/10
Banger after banger ...
28 April 2023
With a relatively slow and at times boring start to season 3, "The Strings That Bind Us" certainly follows on from the success of "Sunflowers" and gets the show back in its usual form. Seasons 1 and 2 of Ted Lasso gave us heart warming and gut wrenching scenes which captivated viewers and developed the characters within the show to allow it to thrive. However, season 3 has lacked in this and hasn't felt any sense of direction thus far. The previous 2 episodes stand as evidence as to what this show can be at its very best. With uncertainty over the future of the show as there has been no renewal for season 4, this could be a promising start to wrapping up a beautiful feel good tv series.

One of the best CBM of all time
12 January 2023
One thing made this movie. Hans Zimmer. The music in this film is extraordinary. Okay, was one of the best scripts ever? No. "Just a feeling" is one of the laziest bits of script writing ever. But it was a great story, with great characters, and was exciting and moving. It's definitely a must watch, despite the bad reviews. Just because it doesn't make a joke every 5 seconds of dialogue doesn't mean it's awful. Now my review is too short and I couldn't really be bothered to write a full impactful detailed review on the cinematography, costume designs and set lighting, so instead I'm just going to say please watch this film if you're a DC fan.

Final Space (2018–2021)
9/10
You'll finish it in a day.
1 August 2018
When bored on Netflix your tempted with a lot of films and tv shows. As a fan of rick and morty, "final space" looked something I would probably watch with ease and maybe even enjoy. The first episode leaves you wanting more and by episode 4 you're a fan. Despite only 20 minute episodes the series does well in introducing all the characters and creating an intriguing storyline, but what surprised me most about this series is the emotional effect it had on me as a viewer. The humour is great, character development is on point and the storyline twists surprise you. A great little series to get involved in for a day until you've finished it.

Best Mission Impossible yet!
1 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
The Mission Impossible films have always been full of action, intensity and thrilling endings. And the sixth instalment is no different. Mission impossible films have always been considered as fun and worth the watch but they've never been considered great films. This however is a great film. With Tom Cruise portraying the main man Ethan Hunt with style, and with the background knowledge knowing he broke one of his legs whilst doing a stunt is truly remarkable. Henry Cavill is a perfect choice for the villain in this film as Walker is very nicely built both in character and size. You have to see it to believe it. But with the latest mission Impossible being a success, it's really challenging James Bond and could now be near on level terms.

How It Ends (2018)
6/10
You won't find out how it ends
1 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
For a film called "How it ends", it is quite ironic that there is no definite ending. With what started as a mysterious, intriguing and ,at times, tense movie did not live up to the potential it created. The acting, cinematography and mystery of the what's happening keeps the film going but it's halts abruptly and leaves viewers somewhat confused, and not wanting more. Normally when films leave on a cliffhanger the viewer is excited by what will follow, but this has the opposite effect as viewers aren't too bothered and more confused as to what the point of the film was.

Must see film, once in a lifetime
5 May 2018
Warning: Spoilers
We all knew going into this film that it would be one of the best Marvel has ever produced. With Anthony and Joe Russo as directors, it couldn't disappoint. And seeing as it is a cumulation of 10 years of action packed marvel films, it had all the ingredients to be a great film. And that's what it was. As one of the most highly anticipated films of the 21st century, Avengers Infinity War certainly delivered. From the opening 10 minutes it set the tone. Thanos made a statement killing the much loved Loki and Heimdall whilst Thor was made to watch, and that he abused Hulk to the point that he didn't come out for the rest of the film was terrifying. Although certain characters such as Captain America, now going as Steve Rodgers and certainly not Nomad, and Black Panther didn't get enough screen time was annoying but the standouts such as Thor and Scarlet Witch was promising with a lot of goosebump moments and the best villain Marvel has produced, Thanos. The final deaths were not as emotional as it is likely that they will return, but it definitely sets up Avengers 4 nicely with that film expected to end the storylines of the original avengers (Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk, Thor, Black Widow and Hawkeye). But similar to Drax when he says at the end of GOTG "Ronan was only a puppet, it's thanos I need to kill". Fans are left saying "Infinity War is only part 1, it's really Avengers 4 I need to see".

Terrific, hooking and must see
11 March 2018
The series so far follow the O.J. Simpson trial and the Andrew Cunanan murder spree and both are hooking and must see tv. The acting is top class and storyline keeps you interested and anticipating the next episode throughout both series'. I hope there is a series 3 as both these series made me research both events after I finished. 10/10, 5/5, amazing, must see.
