If Enchanted wasn't going to win any oscar, the movie was original, music was refreshing and the balance between fairytale and humour was holding fine.
In Disenchanted, all breaks apart. The title is exactly what I'd say people might feel after seeing this. Half way through the film, it's clear this movie isn't going anywhere.
The acting is cringe, the music lands blandly on too much plastic landscaping.
There is no even a sense the to whole plot.
There was a potential in the title. It could have been what the first few minutes makes you believe the movie was going to be. Giselle facing the reality of life vs magic. Instead, it forces the audience into live another sad version of a disney fairytale. What a waste.

Handsome Devil builds up with an original take, moves to character development slowly but never deep enough to trigger emotional connection with the story and its people.
The message behind the story is powerful but doesn't really move from what it is: words. There is no pathos behind the change of the characters, just a script to follow.
The two main actors are well cast and convincing, but their story moves without a strong lead, often replaced by the english professor who still doesn't know how to lead either(both the character and in the role of an educator)
Still, its original way of saying a story well explored by many other movies, keeps holding over the mediocrity.. barely.

I was skeptical. Rumors had it that this movie was a mix of all the 4 games and that the cast was a poor choice. But.. I guess they were wrong!
The movie is actually a prequel of all games, getting its inspiration from the 4th game and nicely expanding on it. Acting was good, at least as good a movie like this can be.
Overall, it was entertaining.
