Finding Satoshi (2022)
Have you ever tried to solve a problem, and not been able to let it go, even when you've gone far past the solution's practical use-by date?
26 March 2024
This documentary is based on an alternative reality game known as Perplex City which was released in 2005 and ran until 2007. We get to meet some of the dedicated community on their quest to be the first to unlock the game's mysteries, while delving a little into their personal lives and learning what motivates them to engage in problem solving and amateur sleuthing.
To avoid any confusion; the Satoshi from which the the film derives its title is a reference to the most difficult puzzle the game had to offer. Which well over a decade from the game's release date still had players struggling to solve. There is no connection to BitCoin or it's developer Satoshi Nakamoto.
