Resident Evil (2022)
Review bombed
It's not great but it's a fun watch. People need to chill. Does not serve a 1/10 lol. It's obviously getting reviewed bombed on here and on rotten tomatoes.
Don't Look Up (2021)
The Moscow Mule of Seltzers
While I did find it somewhat enjoyable, I wouldn't necessarily recommend this to anyone. Many variations on this theme have been released in recent years and I felt that this iteration didn't really bring anything unique or extraordinary to the table. I will say that the finish was more satisfying than some others I've reviewed in this category, but I was still left disappointed and expecting more from such a promising and potentially flavorful ensemble. The heavy malt liquor overtones left me feeling like a teenager sitting with my friends on a curb behind the 7-11, making this yet another experience that I'd prefer not to revisit.lol.
Test pilota Pirxa (1979)
WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CHIP???
First off I just really want to know what happened to the computer chip that fell on the floor.
Best things-set design and uncanny performance of the actors, which highlighted the dilemma - who are the robots? Are they among us? What makes us human and distinguishes is from machines?
Worst things- what was the robots' motivation? Was Novak good and Calder bad? Why?
Wasn't very focused.
Save Yourselves! (2020)
Eh
Was a good movie up until the end. They couldn't have come up with something better?
The Tomorrow War (2021)
Super entertaining
Ah just enjoy it. Who cares that it's not logical lol.
Gone Girl (2014)
Rushed ending
I know it was already a long movie but the ending was so rushed. I know a lot of people didn't like the actual ending but that is not what this is about. But my review isn't about if I liked it or not. Great movie that was poorly wrapped up.
The Hustle (2019)
I don't get why everyone hates on this movie.
Like it's not ground breaking but it's a fun movie to watch. Also I've never see the original so maybe people are comparing it to the original.
(I only rate super good movies 8, 9, and 10, but this was funny and entertaining)
The Magicians (2015)
Reply great until the last season
Get through the first few episodes and then it's really good. The last season just fell apart and had none of the charm that the other seasons had.
The Lighthouse (2019)
Missing something
Nice cinematography and acting but the story is just so lacking. If there was a great ending it could have tied everything together, but the ending was so lackluster and disappointing.
The Perfection (2018)
Get over yourselves
People on here are acting like they're professional movie critics. It's a ridiculous plot, but just go along for the ride. It's nothing like I've seen in the horror genre.
Black Mirror: Bandersnatch (2018)
Illusion of free will
^one of the main themes of the movie, but I found it frustrating necong forced down some paths or rewatching others I've already taken just to get to the same place. It was worth watching, and I watched it again but pretty much ended up in the same place.
Mission: Impossible - Fallout (2018)
Not enough gadgets
For me the most fun from these movies comes from the new crazy technology they come up with for the mission and there wasn't any. There weren't enough shenanigans!
Overlord (2018)
So loud, bring ear plugs
It was so loud I had to plug my ears the entire time. I talked to other people who watched it at different theatres and they said the same thing. It made it difficult to watch. It was so loud it was not enjoyable. I rated it as best I could without that bias though.
I wish there was more backstory/explanation to why or what the Nazis were doing though.
Mandy (2018)
Weird just to be weird
I like weird stuff a lot, I'm a horror buff, but this was just weirdness for the sake of being weird. Very little plot development and just a lot of psychedelic visuals. It was visually interesting and I did like the soundtrack, but the rest of the movie wasn't good.
Melancholia (2011)
Tries too hard!
Out of the 996 movies and films I have watched, I have never rated any of them a "one." Tries way too hard to be artsy and thought provoking. It's so obvious. Yes I understand he is trying to show people how being depressed feels, hell, I'm depressed myself, but that doesn't make it a good movie.
The First Purge (2018)
The best purge
I think people are hating because it's so politically charged, but who doesn't like a good origin story.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018)
Jurassic basement
Starlord fights dinosaurs and buffalo bill with Zefran Cochran and the Grandmaster from nowhere in some guys basement.
