Sherni (2021)
Beautiful crafted the story of two Tigresses!
Although Sherni's story is not an extra-ordinary, the content with which the story is made is very unique.
The story revolves around a tiger named 'T12'. This story is about rescuing that 'T12' and his two children. The story shows how the forest department deals with challenges, how political influences, as well as the emotions of mass people and the media, affect wildlife and human life, as well as how to technically face tiger-human conflict.
I like the visual of the movie. A few close and long shots were worth watching. At the same time several views of the Tadoba Tiger Reserve Forest will blow your mind. The last scene captured at the Bombay Natural History Museum will surely make you think. There are some scenes of the night, were impeccable. The storytelling or screenplay was a bit slow in some places, and the story was thrilling, but there were opportunities to give thrill into it.
I started by watching Vidya Balan's performance and the rescue story of T12. However, the performances of the two are not mentioned here - Bikash Raj and Brijendra Kala. They feel ready for the role that is given to them. Bikash Raj was a zoologist here and Brijendra Kala was a senior officer in the forest department.
Sherni is not a Doku type movie. Here a central character is shown with a focus on the story of a tiger and its surroundings.
I hope those who want to watch good story movies or like a little forest will like it.
Taqdeer (2020)
One of the best web series for 2020
This is the first directional work of Mr Shawki that I have ever seen! Though I was quite aware about the brilliant work of Chanchal Chowdhury and that triggered me to watch the series. The first season was released with 8 episodes and I had to finish it with one sitting!
The webseries can be treated as a escape route from all of our worries, at least for nearly 3 hours, by the sensible performance of Taqdeer team! If you are fond of thriller story, Taqdeer can be served as your main dish!
Dracula Sir (2020)
One of the best work of Debaloy Bhattacaharjee
The film moves with the documentation of Nakshal movement in 1971 along with the Raktim's life in 2020. As an audience it was a bit difficult to relate these two parallel stories! However, the acting, cinematography and the music keep me in the seat to watch the full movie. The director revealed the story twist but the end scene is not clear or convince me.
The strength of this film is the acting of Mr Anirban, Ms Mimi and Mr Rudranil and the music along with the excellent cinematography! I just love this. Ny the way, the scripting was also good. The screenplay may not score A+ but it's still the best work of Mr Debaloy.
