I tried, I really did, but it just never materialised into anything more than a poorly-executed excuse for what could have been. For me, horrible miscasting is at the centre of its downfall. Ben Whishaw and Keira Knightley just do not cut the mustard for what their characters could and should have been. As for the two female assassins, they just turned it into a comedy and maybe that's something else at the heart of these problems; I couldn't work out whether this was a drama, a comedy-drama or just a comedy. Scenarios seemed to be coordinated by a children's tv worker as some were just laughable, especially fight and shoot scenes. It certainly hasn't highlighted British drama in a positive way. And I genuinely believed that Knightley was a better actress than this.
