Anna (2019)
Super underrated!
I was genuinely bemused by 6.6/10 IMDB overall review. I genuinely think that this movie is ~8.5 but I'm inclined to give it 9* as it was captivating throughout and had some unique cool scenes.
To me whilst this may seem James Bond/John Wickesque - it still had its own cool moments. One of the main letdowns I'd say is too much unrealistic action. She literally walks into a room with 30 dudes with no gun and guess what... I mean a few questionable scenes for sure - but still good fun!
Instead of watching John Wicke 52 or whichever one they're making these days - give Anna a try! It was genuinely a very pleasurable watch!
Alien: Romulus (2024)
Zero originality with some semi interesting ending.
Good lord this movie lacked just about everything except diversity. Woohoo guys we did it. White Asian and black as main characters. I cannot begin to express my happiness. Humble humor aside - the movie was a snoozefest. It had no great memorable characters - I dare you to name 1 character. Had zero tension and just felt very meh with the same regurgitated scenes we've all seen previously. It does somewhat feel AI-ish. The movie would've literally been a 3 or 4 stars if it wasn't for the last 30mins of the movie or so. A true disappointment. I truly cannot fathom anyone giving this movie more than a 6.
Fall (2022)
Very intense, scary and good sound effects.
This is honestly a great movie, especially for those who have a fear of heights - it seriously makes this movie that much scarier. I literally winced a few times. Had a great plot twist at one point too! Great movie altogether.

Everything Everywhere All at Once (2022)
What Matrix 4 should have been.
This is a super unique movie which fits the usual A24 style. Lots of humour throughout but there are some other more personal and emotional moments throughout.
Do be vary of the audience you bring in as the movie of course contains humans with hot dog fingers, people who fight to death just to get a chance to get a buttplug stuck up their ass and of course a super talented racoon who controls the human by sitting on their head and pulling their hair to make them superior cooks.
The Matrix Resurrections (2021)
An insult to the series.
*Zero originality.
*Full of plot holes.
*Terrible casting overall.
Apart from the 3 main key points above you can't ignore the fact that this movie is just trying too hard to be politically correct as well - it's just pathetic. It's so obvious what they're trying to portray and accomplish; at times it's frankly annoying to watch and you feel like skipping ahead.
To put it simply this movie should have never been made and you should consider rating it as such in order to deter everyone else from pulling off the same sort of non sense.
The Wheel of Time (2021)
Wheel of Cringe
There is absolutely nothing original about the series apart from the same regurgitated mess everyone else puts out there. The acting/script is so cringy that you just honestly want to stop watching altogether. The acting is terrible and even their makeup is honestly pathetic. They all have "flawless" skin which (in a village) makes absolutely no sense.
Terrible altogether. Do not waste your time.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021)
Wasted potential, cringeworthy scenes.
There is literally nothing new/unique about this movie. It's as if they've taken pieces out of various movies and figured oh hey this could work. This movie was directed by the guy who played gollum in LOTR - that sums it up. He really ought to stick with playing a gollum - not directing movies.
Watching this movie seriously infuriated me as it had such great potential with Tom Hardy being the star that he is and this genre of a movie overall - the only "R" hope which was utterly wasted...
DO NOT spend your money on this disaster of a movie.
Uncut Gems (2019)
Masterpiece.
I'm willing to go as far as to say that this was THE MOVIE of a decade.
Adam Sandler's performance was astonishing. The movie itself kept me on edge the entire time - you simply could not anticipate a single thing. The ending was a bit shocking and no one could see it coming.
I absolutely love how unique and remarkable this movie is. A true masterpiece. There is absolutely nothing close to this movie out there; a class of its own. A must watch for the true cinema fans out there.
The Witcher (2019)
Great theme, music, story but the characters/actors are lacking.
I'm 2 episodes in and I must say that Netflix's attempts on catering towards "the general public/mainstream" is sad. In my opinion the characters shouldn't be changed for the sake of being "politically correct" either. This is what basically makes some of the scenes a bit cringy.
The show is great apart from the 2 critical points mentioned above. The theme of the show is of course amazing, the scenery is beautiful, the costumes are on point and so are the monsters; most of all the music is just right!
Chernobyl (2019)
Mind blowing realism! Superb in every sense.
This TV show may very well be one of the greatest series to ever grace our screens. The immaculate attention to detail, pacing, the scenery, the design, audio are all simply flawless. The first episode is truly captivating - I think it captures the people's feelings and thoughts perfectly. I also love the fact that it contains so many unknown yet amazing actors. I'm trying to think of some flaws - I simply cannot. A MUST WATCH for any of you reading this!
Mandy (2018)
A class of its own.
The first hour of the movie was superb - the attention to detail and the acting was on point. The next hour of the movie was a bunch of mindless action with Nicholas Cage being seen approximately 90% of the time. I feel like this movie could've been a lot better without all the unnecessary non sense. The fighting scenes were very sloppy and amateurish, it could've been presented a lot better; for me it simply wasn't captivating enough.
1st hour of the movie - 8*
2nd hour (the rest) - 5*
OVERALL 6*
Devilman: Crybaby: Crybaby (2018)
Unique anime style, great story.
I love this anime, the art style was very unique, it does remind me a bit of "Parasyte". The story-line was great, a few unexpected plot twists and superb music is bound to keep you watching and craving for some more. I also love the fact that it's not your usual anime with a bunch of childish elements, this does feel like it's aimed towards adults more than teenagers - which is great!
The Cloverfield Paradox (2018)
Very mediocre and dull, yet comical?
The only good thing about this movie were the last 5 seconds.
Hwayugi (2017)
Simple and unique, yet refreshing.
The TV show doesn't really remind me of anything - it's unique; the acting is decent. There's a lot of characters to build upon and it seems that the show isn't limited (there's no end game) - could easily become a few seasons if it pulls in good numbers.
The story is vast and interesting, it seems to have a lot of genres built within itself - comedy, horror, romance. That being said - the show is most likely for the younger audience.
The only obvious flaw(s) that I can think of is music - they've recycled the same song 5 times in the first 2 episodes which was disappointing. The special effects are quite poor, although if you can overlook them - and you're just looking to relax/chill and watch something simple - this wouldn't be a bad choice.
Supernatural (2005)
From wonderful to crap.
This used to be my favorite TV Show ever created, up to about Season 3-4.
Sam & Dean always used to catch/kill mysterious kind of creatures, but eventually the creator of this show who's so full of himself that he even involved himself and made himself look better than an actual actor he is just ruined the TV Show entirely by creating "over the top" kind of episodes.
I don't want to go into too many details as I do not want to give out any spoilers, but the show just went down hill probably from around season 4 or 5. I'm still watching it, don't get me wrong, but nowadays it's just beyond stupid the things that are going on. They are illogical and make no sense whatsoever.
Also, what's up with the entire story jumping all the time? It's like going from point A to points H and then point X, then going back to point C. Rather than points A, B, C, D....
