The Gentlemen (2024)
Instant classic.
Almost perfect! You know its a classic when you start it from the beginning the moment you finish.
Could watch 100 episodes of this.
The story, script, acting, score, cinematography...it hits all the spots. Thank god Netflix and Guy made this happen.
Make sure you out your phone away and enjoy it in full. There are lots of details and subtle moments that complete the viewing experience.
Also, don't watch it on your phone. Do your best to have a tv with good sound system.
The score is actually incredible. Brings the perfect amount of tension and pace to everything that happens.
Crazy how the lead actor isn't the next James Bond.
Maybe its because there are more seasons of this too come???
Creed III (2023)
Worst of them all...
I mean, my expectations were low but this was worse than I could have imagined.
Not a single part of this story line is believable.
The writers must have used chat gpt because it was basic and just like a computer write it from a screen writing for dummies program.
And the boxing action scenes are so laughable. Holding your arm out for 3 seconds while you wait for the other actor to come in for the grab...come on!
I truly feel bad for anyone who paid real money to go see this in theatre.
This franchise needs to be knocked out, dragged into an alley and left to never come back into the ring again. Pathetic.
The Little Mermaid (2023)
Near perfect!
Honestly, my expectations were low. I was very nervous to see it but regardless we took the kids on opening night.
This was nothing short of a masterpiece and it was dang near perfect.
Everything was flawless. The cast was perfect. The music was spot on, the visuals were incredible!!! (Must see in 3D).
I was captivated the whole time and wished that it was twice as long.
All the epic scenes were done masterfully and some new ones were a delightful addition.
This is by far the best disney remake and it deserves to be up for multiple awards.
As for the Ariel casting, it not only brought a whole mew dynamic but it made you wonder why Ariel looked the way she did when it takes place in a more tropical location. Bravo Disney.
I don't always agree with you as a company but this I am a fan of.
Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre (2023)
Behind the camera buddy film
This movie feels like a couple of Guys friends had an idea for a movie and needed his help to make it just barely watchable so it would get picked up by Amazon.
And yes that is pretty much what happened. This is a grad school piece by a couple of Guys mentees that are slowly becoming their own writers and directors. This is spy movie paint by numbers at its mediocre.
Nothing creative, unique or inspiring about it.
Hopefully you were able to watch it for free because god forbid you waste more than your time watching it. Perfect for netflix and chill or falling asleep too on a Sunday with a hangover.
Everyone who is involved with this movie has done better. Just go watch one of their classics rather than watching this. You will thank me.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)
Horrific
What was even the point??? What a horrible movie! This could have been done a million different ways, and all better than this. Total waste of time. Have it on while you do something more important like fold laundry, the dishes or watch paint dry. Marvel is in trouble right now. I think its a changing of the guard and DC is about to blow by them when the Flash comes out.
The only somewhat appealing thing is the visuals but other than that there is not a single item that is redeeming about this movie.
An unfortunate waste of what was an epic start to this franchise. Now I am just writing to waste characters so I can submit this.
House of Gucci (2021)
Surprisingly Wonderful watch
For someone who is not a fan of Adam Driver nor Lady Gaga and definitely not Jared Leto, wow...I found this to be very enjoyable.
It was smooth and soft and refined. Some truly epic scenes where you just had to take a screen shot. And yes, some amazing acting. Gaga did a wonderful job delivering some of her most important lines.
This is a must watch and a must must rewatch from time to time.
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
How is this even a movie!?
Spoiler alert:
This movie storyline starts because Peter Parker doesn't want to be famous...lol what a joke.
Cant believe this is the best thing they could come up with.
The Batman (2022)
A highly produced SNL skit.
What is all the hype about?
This was brutal. The score was amazing and the cinematography had its moments but the story, acting, pace and directing was just cheesy and overly dramatic.
Felt like one big well produced SNL skit.
It played out exactly the way I thought it would as leaks and trailers started coming out.
It is funny because for a movie that tried so hard to be deep and brooding it really lacked substance in all ways.
The characters acted like they were all important but really they were so disconnected.
Also gotta love it when a 5'2, 105 pound girl is beating up and throwing around 180 pound guys like its nothing.
Bring back Christopher Nolan and just let him make a million more.
Kfulim (2015)
Brutally lazy. Enough of this garbage
First of all it is an environmental piece of propaganda masquerading as a crime drama. Secondly it is extremely lazy utilizing cliche events that have no real world practicality. The acting is horrible and the dialogue is even worse. Thankfully i had it on while i was working so it wasn't a complete waste of time.
Pam & Tommy (2022)
Terribly boring
This has all the makings of being an amazing show but in the end it is just a boring story about boring people. You know it's rough when the most compelling character is a gross middle-aged fat man played by Seth Rogen. I had more fun waiting for websites to load in the mid 90s then I did watching this show.
Serena (2014)
Loved it! Def worth a watch
Not sure what all the low ratings are about. Great movie, definitely worth the watch. Loved the contrast from Silver Linings. Cinematography was fantastic. I actually wish it was 30-45 minutes longer. Certainly some elements that could have been developed more but overall great film.
Dude (2018)
Nepotism...is how this movie got made.
This movie is baaaad. Its like a highly produced film school project that should get the film makers kicked out of school. This is fas flat and flavourless as a can of La Croix thats been left out opened on the counter for 3 days.
Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021)
Bad dad. Bad acting. Horrible movie
This is one where you have your finger on the fast forward button the whole time. Good thing is you can get this down to a 15 minute run time. This movie truly is pathetic.
Jungle Cruise (2021)
Perfection
Honestly. It pains me to say this but yes, this was a perfect movie. Well written, great soundtrack, amazing story, excellent acting.
One of the best movies I have seen in the last 10 years. An instant classic and by far the best movie with Dwayne Johnson in his entire career.
Coming 2 America (2021)
Is this even a movie?
This is so bad I'm not even sure you can call in a movie. The script is literally just basic grade 3 conversation, the storyline seems like it was pulled out of a hat and the acting is like a skit by your 6 year old cousins at thanksgiving. Might be the worst movie I've actually ever seen.
Search Party (2016)
Flawless
This show is near perfection! I blew thru all 4 seasons in less than two days. It was an absolute delight. Everyone else making shows needs t watch this, take notes and learn. Bravo!!
How to Build a Girl (2019)
Poor version of Almost Famous.
Skip this and go watch Almost Famous. This movie is a poor version of that amazing movie.
Ava (2020)
Beyond brutal
Plays like a student film but with big name actors.
Sneakerheads (2020)
Not unless you are desperate should you watch this.
This show is so bad that I had to come and review it. Even if you are a sneaker head you will find it hard to enjoy this. The story is piss poor, the acting is straight up annoying. The sound track isn't even good. It infuriates me that these people got paid to do this movie. Do, not, watch this flaming trash. I stopped after episode 2.
Plebs (2013)
Most underrated show ever
So good. Pure brilliance. Such a refreshing comedy. Everyone should see and love this.
Starsky & Hutch (2004)
Highly, underrated!!!
So good. The cameos and the characters are classic. And the signature scenes that play out in so many of Vince's movies. Great film with many quotable moments.
Gisaengchung (2019)
Predictable and poorly executed.
Stunned at how anyone would think highly of this film. It should have been a short. Every aspect of the story line was so predictable and poorly executed. Not even a single spin that could have made it interesting. Do not pay to see this movie. Stream for free or just don't even watch it.
Average Gypsy - Get Some Money (2020)
Epic must watch.
This was lit from start to finish. Track is great, story was dope, visuals are fire and dancing was Perfection! I want to see what adventure these bad ass babes go on next.
6 Underground (2019)
Speechless at how bad it is
It is cringe worthy bad. Unfortunately some people got paid lots of money to make this. Thankfully netflix has The Office you can put on after and actually enjoy.
First Man (2018)
Perfect
Its a flawless film and anyone who doesn't think so needs to kick rocks. Every aspect was amazing. Acting, script, cinematography, the score...the detail in the scenes and effort to make it look classic was awe inspiring. Truly remarkable film. As if it actually happened and you are there to live through it.
