"Presence" is an unusual horror film told from the perspective of a ghost who inhabits a house where a family has just moved in. "In a Violent Nature" was told from the perspective of the killer; in "Presence," as I mentioned, it's told from the perspective of the entity, which, rather than being an antagonist, is a dramatic element that proves poetic within a story that emphasizes family drama and the loss of a loved one. The performances of the entire cast are realistic and effective in every scene, with Lucy Liu, Callina Liang, Eddy Maday, Chris Sullivan, and West Mulholland standing out. The cinematography is visually simple but effective with the camera movements, especially in bringing the viewer back into the "presence." "Presence" is a good horror-drama film told from a unique perspective.
"Qué huevos Sofía" is the new film by Carlos Santos, a director who has proven that his films are not simple comedies, always getting involved in the script, Santos gives his characters backgrounds of murky pasts that they must overcome in the present and achieve a better future. The cast gives performances that hit the mark, Giovanna Romo is wonderful as Sofía and gives different emotional nuances to her character, meanwhile Liliana Arriaga gives a fun character and also demonstrates her great acting qualities for drama when it is required, Sergio Mayer is fabulous as the arrogant villain, in addition to an emotional and bold performance by Yanet García, meanwhile, YouTuber Ricardo Peralta and writer and influencer Priscila Arias demonstrate they have acting and comedic qualities. Carlos Santos' direction is powerful, managing to balance comedy and drama in a masterful way. "Qué huevos Sofía" is a great film that moves away from comedy clichés and tells a story with good elements of comedy and drama that fit perfectly.
"Bambi, l'histoire d'une vie dans les bois" is a simple but effective film, its script based on the story written by Felix Salten is interesting, telling it in documentary form, giving a touch of realism to Bambi's story, in addition to adding realities of animal life, although of course with a slightly childish perspective. In addition, elements are touched upon that demonstrate the importance of animals and the bad role that humans often play in their lives. The editing manages to be incredible, accentuating the drama and even the suspense. The animals that appear in the film are wonderful actors, achieving endearing scenes. The cinematography manages to be of great visual quality, definitely the best thing about the film. "Bambi, l'histoire d'une vie dans les bois" is a good film that declines in some scenes but recovers again with other scenes of great quality.
