I'm rewatching it for the 4th time.
The writing, the acting, the storylines both short term and long term and the character development are the finest I have ever seen in a television show.
This is completely my jam.
High Laurie could only have ever been an English comedy actor in order to understand and deliver the sarcasm and wit properly. His quips absolutely crack me up. It's funnier than any sitcom and thank god it doesn't have a laugh track.
I haven't a bad word to say against it. Whole you'll have your own opinion, you can watch it yourself and decide. I could write an essay pouring praise on the show episode by episode, scene by scene, but I am really here because I just wanted to comment one thing.
So, by the end, Hugh Laurie was being paid $400,000 per episode. Which is crazy nutty bananas money! I assume other actors were well paid, no where near as much, but for a TV show, it must have been pretty good.
So, I'm kinda pissed off at the greed of Lisa Edelstein. It was reported she left and didn't come back because she couldn't come to an arrangement with pay. But, not only was she in the most popular show on television, featuring a record breaking most watched man in history and being paid a fortune for a TV show.. she wanted more. It was great writing and she was a beloved character. I'm rather annoyed by this!
