This film has way too long been lying around until I decided to watch it and it was then I realized what have I been missing all along..this movie rocks!! and its completely twisted in every sense especially seeing all the 3 goof-ball characters, including the sexy Rose McGowan having fun whilst heading for the highway to kill..All you need to do is just sit back, enjoy the wild ride and have fun like they all did..it starts a bit obscure when you don't know where the film was going but then it promises to keep you on as you eagerly want to see what the players are are up to next..Cheesy as it intentionally made to be sauced with some classy old-fashioned tunes to suit its premises..overall, an Entertaining midnight movie that comes above its rank from from the other moderately budgeted road movie flicks like Delusion, Trouble Bound, American strays which are also meant not to be taken seriously...
Now this is a brilliant saga of a father-son rivalry in an emotional and atmospheric drama set within the backdrops of the post-Vietnam war. I remember watching this film during the year when it was just out and for some reason it couldn't let go off my mind. John Lithgow and Ralph Macchio plays two opposite characters of a disturbed father and a lost son relationship which blends to an utmost perfect chemistry and with the slick and tight direction of Rick Rosenthal,(I wonder why is he doing only materials for TV nowdays) the film delivers some outstanding cinematography and manages to grip you until the powerful climax. Even though you are not fond of humanity dramas, this movie would still please you as you watch John Lithgow's Oscar-caliber performance and the message of Peace implicitly.I enjoyed it on the whole and I am glad its out on DVD!
Bitchy,at the same time vulnerable, you wont know where to symphatize or actually not to with 'Jade', Linda Fiorentino's stunning performance will knock you out...Sleazily and stylishly directed by crafty director William Friedkin, 'Jade'is still one of the best edge-of-your seat thrillers of all time..slick, sensitive and provocative with a chilling score that adds to its atmosphere, it will not let u go..or let you get there...Four stars!
