Superb acting by Tom Cruise and superb directing by Edward Zwick. This film takes place 1876. A very depressed decorated civil war soldier named Nathan Algren(Tom Cruise) is asked to go to Japan to train the Japanese men into shooting soldiers. During a battle with a Samurai. Another Samurai warrior(Ken Wantanbe) takes interest in him. When Algren wounded in battle. The Samurai leader takes him to there country. Where Algren soon learns to adapt. The best war movie so for. It's Braveheart and Dances With Wolves mix together almost. It had great scenery and great battle scenes. Also a great performance by Tom Cruise. And great acting by the rest of the cast. And terrific directing by Edward Zwick.
Disney has done it again with another great animated story. The movie starts out with a young named Kenai(well voiced by Joaquin Phoenix) who believes that bear is the cause for his older brothers death. But when he finally takes his revenge. The spirits magically transform him into a bear. Kenai must go on a journey to get himself back to normal. During that time he meets up with a cub bear named Koda(Jeremy Suarez). A great film for the whole family, it's touching as well has funny. With memorable characters. Don't miss it.
Jim Carrey was The Grinch, and know Mike Myers is The Cat In The Hat. A good kids story taken from the pages of Dr.Seuss. A magical feline(well played by Mike Myers) goes in the home of two siblings named Conrad(Spencer Breslin from last years The Santa Clause 2) and Sally(Dakota Fanning from this years Uptown Girls) and tries to teach them on how to have a fun time, while there mother(Kelly Preston) is at work. But what happens when there scumbag neighbor(perfectly well played by Alec Baldwin) begins to suspect what there up to, and trying to woo there mother at the same time. I liked this movie, it is not overacted like The Grinch was. Mike Myers plays the part in his own way, and his own comic style. And it also had cool special effects. I don't care what the other critics say, I liked this movie.
