Reminiscence (2021)
More Disjointed Rubbish
Hugh Jackman shows that a great cast won't hold up a crap production.
I like noir type of films, yet fail to categorise this jumbled pile.
I really wouldn't bother, find something to do outside, it will be time better spent.
Clean (2021)
Why, really Why?
Nothing to see here that's not been shown before. It's your basic violence with a plot to justify the gratuitous killings.
If it's raining and on free-to-air TV give it a go, but don't pay to watch it, it's enough to lose that time without hurting the hip pocket.
Night Teeth (2021)
No Bite
Well made film, technically.
Weak as water plot, becomes dreary, Benny is as juvenile as they come and suddenly becomes 'Badass Slayer'.
Then...who cares...is it over yet? Or is there more.
Ahhh, love triumphs.
Now is it over??
One for the tweens.
Traffik (2018)
Crap
Paula Patton should cast someone else next time she produces. Her constant facial contortions apparently is acting.
Overall fairly standard fare with a fairly pretentious plot and characters. Tuned out early.
Cardinal Matter (2016)
Weak
It's OK if you want background entertainment. Requires very little attention.
The bad guy is fairly pathetic, definitely a loon but not in same genre as normal psychotic sadistic killers.
It has the right ingredients just underdone.
The Humanity Bureau (2017)
Turns out he's the Son...
Huh? Oh yeh? Zzzzzzz....
The kid is a moron, the 'Mum', suitable for a moron, the good guy's substance abuse is finally catching up. The bad guy(s) is of the same ilk and they have really fast cars...its not often I would say this but 'why bother'???
A Call to Spy (2019)
Nothing Really Exciting
Well crafted in certain ways.
Noticeable are the many 'chic' clothing styles Nora wears. And the lack of people, extras, make it appear empty in scenes. You don't get the feel of history.
The story doesn't follow any real direction or plot and lacks definite intrigue. There is no danger present and the sense of French dismay spoken of isn't tangible. The most convincing scenes are the Baker Street rooms.
(note: There is no way known that this deserves 10 stars - it is self indulgence by the writer to present historical fact in the light of 21st century feminine)
Overall it could be stated as a little pretentious, which is well accepted as being normal this day and age so there will be those who will love the intemperance.
Without Remorse (2021)
A Bit ShowY..
Fairly ok paced bit of violent intrigue. Does get bogged down a little in trying to animate the main character. Some passages of average acting, like in the plane. Then attempts to guide the direction of the plot that wasn't yet really established. Yes/no/maybe..
Firefly (2002)
Firefly = Serenity??
I am trying. However cannot. Serenity I could watch anytime, Firefly has everything, except my investment in the characters/story.
I'd say it was the script. This first episode the girl died - so what - she was fruity as a bat. (Oh she didn't die - so what). Her weirdo smile is unnerving.
Next the priest is knocked out and then bashed by the obviously cleverer than anyone suspected psychopath. Is this character a little too modern day serial killer like? N.b.(He has a titanium head, absolutely no injury).
They seem to be individual characters alright but nobody has told them that they're in the same play.
This must, apparently, get a whole lot more interesting. Maybe it needs time to fall into place, seeming it's a massive 9/10 rating, with 245,000 (?) giving this two thumbs ☝. Yeh its a little sketchy.
For those 30 something living with their mother.
Solver (2017)
Didn't Watch It
Couldn't get past the first 15mins. Maybe give it a chance, but for me the executive scene was a fair indicator on what to expect...
The Informer (2019)
Fairly Dumb Plot
It's going to appeal to a wide range of viewers. Mainly fundamental action buffs. It begins with a bit of intrigue though the NYPD detective suddenly becomes a single entity that loses his presence and there's other holey plot scenes that send the film bordering on ridiculous, (it's as if the budget ran out half way through or the script writer decided to take a break) with the central characters dissolving along the way. Jagged. Unravelled.
Finally comes to a rest conveniently with a happy ending for all except the poor sap that cops it up the rear the film's entirety.
6.6 rating is rather a joke. Could have been deserving but isn't.
It's a Meh..from me.
Aliens on the Moon: The Truth Exposed (2014)
YAAAWWWWN
Leftover 'experts' that didn't make the cut from paranormal caught on camera.
So 1940 radar technology is used by Aliens located on the moon...
Where do they find these people??
Married at First Sight Australia (2015)
WANNA KNOW WHAT'S WRONG IN THE WORLD
There is nothing watchable about this program. There is no EXPERIMENT. The only people watching the show are those who are as shallow and narcissistic as those who have taken a symbolic ceremony of LOVE and made it as plastic and polluting as the entire Economic and Social 'Free World' is promoting. What possible need in society does this fill?
Is fame so badly craved people will throw away any sort of common decency to participate in what is a completely demeaning and later regretful display of TACKY?? And could the audience be more disdainful in attendance. Because that is WHY they watch.
What happened to Australia? It has become full of Self Entitled second hand groupies.
Alien Moon (2019)
More Moon Myth Making
Completely lacking in any objective summary. One sided leading conclusions for the purpose of relieving suckers of any remaining ability of impartial thought.
Aahhhggggg...
The only real thought provoking fact is the relationship between the distance and size of the moon and the sun. The key to many an astrological answer.
Earthstorm (2006)
They Save the Moon YAY
Definitely made on a shoestring budget, judging by the cgi(?). Along with everything else, the script, the set, and with the cast each having their own claim to Star Rating. Yet there is no faulting the actors commitment to their roles.
Even with a straight face Stephen Baldwin manages shut download the 'payload insecure' warning light by latching the walmart bought tiedowns. 'Secure' the green light flashes.
Like I said the characters indulgence make this strangely watchable and the directors ability to keep the relevance and pace, despite the plot lacking anything believable, moving steadily is entertaining. Edited well. Not the worst way to waste 90 mins.
The Super (2017)
Unnecessary Rubbish....
Wasn't much of a story, only thing that really happens is some gruesome killing. It kept promi
Generation Wolf (2016)
Sure To Have Its Admirers...
Didn't really get it. Vincent was supposed to be the good guy, but was a bit spineless. His mate Bill was made to look the fool, yet had managed ok until Vincent shows up.
Vincent you're led to believe is struggling with ethics when he comes across as entitled and yet Bill the bad guy (who gets what he deserves?) really isn't being anthything but accommodating and maybe lacking the 'morals' of Vincent. And yet Vincent was there for all his deviations.
Pretentious.
Inner Worlds, Outer Worlds (2012)
It May Be Helpful but...
Watching the trailer done it for me. It looks as though it is another first to the punch 'enlightenment' charge to me. Banding the lastest(?) neuroplasticity, the latest science buzz with betterment of the soul by new(?) age thoughtfulness.
The idea that plasticity is relatively recent is nonsense. It's been around for decades in modern science. The idea has been used therapeutically for all types of brain related injuries and certain spinal and nerve damage for as long as I have been alive.
Martial arts teach it's mantra, as the Buddha said , even Christ.
Get over yourself and do something thats pleasing to do other than electronically.
Paranormal Caught on Camera (2019)
It Would Be Entertaining but...
I see people claiming most of the 'evidence' played on the show as being debunked. I'm not sure where or how this is.
Some may be 'unexplained' though most is hinged on the (mind numbing) experts conformation and reinforcing commentary. What gets me is the range of phenomena, (eg. the slenderman??) where do they come up with these. Are they spying on 12yr olds having sleepovers? Wow. Even one apparition caught by drone of a ghostly figure in the woods had some tag to add to the verification of the lore. It was a plastic sheet hooked on a tree limb. Yet there was no doubt that this was the 'legend of so and so'...ughh. They have no shame being paid for preying on the vulnerability of those influenced by baffling rhetoric, and such expertise in identifying 'plasma entities' etc. and their unending knowledge in other worldly science.
