I had the opportunity to see "Pretty Dead Flowers" this past Labor Day weekend at the Montreal Film Festival(2006). I had the ENORMOUS pleasure of seeing it twice. IT IS MAGNIFICENT ! ! ! After the screening I got to meet Justine the director, Tim Shea the producer,
some of the crew and Jayne Heitmeyer the actress. All of whom were totally delightful, dedicated and amazing people. This is a short that is a privilege to see especially twice. The first time you will be AWED and the second time you can sit back, closely observe and fully understand the reasoning behind the actor's actions. If given the opportunity, I would see it again and again, in a heartbeat, and enjoy it more and more every time. I can't say enough about how wonderful it is and I refuse to give away anymore info on the storyline as I fear it would only ruin the beauty of the film for those who haven't had the joy of seeing it yet. Surfice it to say, that I give it a minimum of 10++ My one last comment is that the credits were also extremely impressive in that the names ran in large lettering at the beginning and at the end. These people work very very hard and deserve their names to not only be shown but to be shown so brilliantly. BRAVO ! ! !
