Color of Night (1994)
I really liked it!
I've seen the movie several times, and I really like the movie.
It is one of those movies that you start watching because you have nothing better to do, but the second half makes you wish that you'd paid more attention to the first!
Bruce plays the excellent confused lover opposite Jane March, but then again, who wouldn't?!!?!! The "group" scenes are wonderful. They really make you feel like you are within the neurosis of the patients. It is very fun!
I would highly recommend seeing the film, and then watching it. It's well worth it.
Guns: A Day in the Death of America (1990)
I'm not sure what the point of this documentary is.
I'm not really certain what the point is. The title and the tone of the naration would lead one to believe that it is advocating gun control, yet the content is anything but that. Throughout the movie there are many references that speak of guns with a tone of distain. The incidents that they site are suicides, gang shootings, and legitimate police shootings. They even mention how one gun "victim" was found with gun shots and stab wounds. I watched it thinking "where's the rest of the investigative story?".
Anyhow, I think the movie was very poor, and made a poor attempt at whatever it was trying to bring across.
The Last Castle (2001)
Okay, So is this Robert's Cool Hand Luke?
I watched this movie, and I must admit that I liked it. It had an well played plot and excellent cast. I've always been a James Gandolfini fan, so that for me was a treat. Robert Redford played an excellent role, however, I couldn't help but see similarities to Cool Hand Luke, and wondered if this was Robert's attempt at that venue.
Just one man's opinion. Keith.
