Despite that it is on a wrong location, this pretty good remake of the wonderful 1986/95 Andy Griffith classic is a pretty good reboot, although it had some flaws, it does have good performances, Kathy Bates does a great job playing a female version of Ben Matlock and beau bridges is good also, the teleplay is very interesting and it does have good colors and stuff and some of the editing is flawed, but still this is a pretty good remake of the great classic, although this not as great as the first one, but certainly better than most of the junk in the last almost 35 years and definitely better than the horrific good time reboot that came out last spring, Matlock is a very interesting and good reboot, i'm giving it a b- and a thumbs up for me.
Back in 1974, good times a spinoff series of maude was relatable, it had great characters, great storytelling and great performances and had great catchphrases such a dynomite, this reboot however is a total disaster, the acting is woeful, the animation is atrocious, the teleplay is a complete joke, even the jokes are tasteless and idiotic, let's just say in my view that i hated every inch of this reboot, especially offensive than the show itself is the use of the infant as a drug dealer, now i only found that truly absolutely cynical, but truly miserable, netflix and others who made this piece of trash should be ashamed of themselves, this is a completely mockery of evil stereoypes, this new good times reboot is a complete failure and it's not only going on my list of the worst television of 2024, not only the worst television of the decade, but the worst television show, displacing other shlock such as here comes honey boo and amish mafia, while if you excuse me, i will be going to the graves of the other cast members of good times, especially esther rolle, who is absolutely crying in heaven right now, she would have hated this and i don't blame her.
I thought it was gonna be cheesy, I thought wrong, this is a very good reboot of a great television series from the 1980's, Ryan gosling takes over the role originated by Lee majors (who has a cameo by the way), as down on his luck action star who wants to make a comeback in the movie business when mayhem and action ensues, despite some flaws in the plot, this is faithful reboot of a television series, the performances are very good, the screenplay is nice and the editing is great as well, I saw this at a Maryland movie screens and they were cheering 100% for this, although despite some flaws in the plot, i'm giving this a thumbs up for me, a whole lot better than the truly dreadful good times reboot that came out last month.
