I like the 24 style format. If feels just like waiting in ED. It also highlights what is wrong with American healthcare. Even the 'scrub machine' is nuts. I couldn't imagine having to fork over my old ones to get new ones. Standing room only in the waiting room is nuts. Using an ED as primary healthcare centre is nuts.
"You should document your cognitive work in the MDM." "You want me to pad my chart?" "No, I want you to show your work, billing is a side effect of that."
'Billing' should not be a factor in emergency healthcare. Americans fork out more per capita than any other country for healthcare, a third of that being administration costs. Essentially, you pay for them to think up ways to charge you more. Expensive is not better, it's just expensive. Funny with the realism they aren't showing the billing aspect, only once is an insurance card even mentioned.

It's an old cliche, but the book really was better, too bad that's not saying much. Lee Child's books are full of inaccuracies and simple impossibilities, but the character is good. That's all the books have going for them really.
So they make this movie and piss all over the character by casting Tom Cruise. Now, Lee Child may justify it using the excuse of 'talent' even though Tom Cruise lacks it when other actors have a plethora of it. The casting of Alan Ritchson in the TV series proved Lee Child wrong, you can have an actor embody the character in appearance as well as ability. Maybe he just really wanted to meet Tom Cruise? Can't think why. Adam Copeland could have even been a better choice than TC and he even has the right height. TC has no presence, Reacher does without saying a word, TC also talks way too much, it's all blabbity blah blah blah incessantly. The car chase was ridiculous and out of character and the ending even more so. I hope they redo 'One Shot' for the series, it's actually one of the better books.

This episode showcases the complete ignorance of American writers and viewers regarding other cultures. Taggart is just completely wrong. Terrible accent, ridiculous character traits, complete misinformation of Australian culture and even cultural appropriation. The Russian is a stereotypical caricature of American propaganda. At the time Russia had already had McDonalds for 20 years and Northern Russia is simply not covered in ice and snow as claimed. This really is the worst episode in the complete series.
As for the errors of the geographical nature of the arctic that's best covered under "Goofs".
