A semi-interesting plot line (a test pilot from 1960 finds himself landing on Earth in 2024, where mutants rule the upper world and a small group of survivors hides out below the Earth) is one of the only good things this movie has going for it. Some of the sets are also interesting, and have a somewhat futuristic feel to them, but sadly the performances by most of the cast (especially the leading actor) are sadly wanting.
Darlene Tompkins provides some nice eye candy as the daughter of the leader of the underground base, but not enough to make the movie worth watching more than once.
Considering how talky this movie was a better script would have helped a lot.
This is the type of movie that only a serious Science Fiction buff who wants to see everything should bother with.

If you are familiar with the work of director Frank Henenlotter (Frankenhooker, and the Basket Case series) then you have a good idea what to expect with this hilarious film.
Alymer is a parasite that injects his host with his "Juice", which gives the host an incredible color filled high. Unfortunately for the host, Alymer must eat brains to stay alive.
I know that this does not sound like a fun movie, but if you have a warped sense of humor, you will be sure to enjoy it.

A shell shocked Vietnam Vet (played by Jeff Fahey) is driven over the brink by his greedy wife (Karen Allen) and her boyfriend.
Although the idea of this film is pretty interesting, and the cast is pretty good, unfortunately the script is not good enough to really make the story work. This makes the movie kind of predictable. Karen Allen chews up the scenery, and steams up the screen in a few nude scenes, as the greedy young wife born on the wrong side of the tracks in a small town.
Overall this movie is worth a watch, especially if you are a Karen Allen fan, but not nearly as great as it could be.
